I sat up breathing heavily. I looked around but all I saw was darkness with a hint of light through a slightly open window. I could feel sweat rolling down my forehead. I looked to the clock and saw it was 7:30 am. I groaned and pulled the duvets off of me. I stand up and walked into the bathroom turning on the shower and doing my business. After about 15 minutes I finished and wrapped a towel around my naked body. I cautiously step out of the shower and walked back to my room. I slipped on a dark red dress and matched it with black kitten heels. I walked back inside the bathroom and began to fix my hair as I stand in front of the mirror. I muttered a quick drying spell for my hair. I curl the ends and put it up in a ponytail. After I was satisfied, I walked out locking the door behind me.

"Ah good morning Alice. How are you?" There stood James wearing his usual suits but instead of a cane in his hand, a single white rose lay in his palm

"This is for you doll" he handed me the rose, smirking slightly. I gingerly grabbed the rose out of his hand but not before he raised my hand and gave a gentle kiss on my hand. I felt my cheeks heat up

"Thank you James but why are you doing this?" I questioned him, raising my left brow.

"Why not? Can't I complement a nice young lady like yourself?" He asked teasingly. I eyed him as he smiled widely.

"Well alright. I'll just be on my way" I say as I began to walk away from him.

"Alice?" I turned around and looked at him questioningly.

"Yes" I raised an eyebrow

"Meet me in my room at 7 pm sharp tonight. And wear your finest dress" he says as he turns and walks the opposite way from me. I feel my cheeks heat up. No Alice. He is vile and cruel and not to mention married. It is completely wrong and demented for me to even react like that. I shook my head and took the stairs to the bar. The bartender, who I learned is named Christopher, smiled.

"Usual miss Alice"

"Yes please"
