Twenty-Nine

Moving me was like moving a bag full of wet cotton. I feel pain with every step. I moan when they have to pull me up.

"He's not looking so good." Azura said.

"We must get out of this forest quickly." Lord Patrick said.

Azura stepped forward. She points at me.

"He will not make it out of the forest in one piece. We need to rest." She said sternly.

Lord Patrick looked at me. He sees my entire chest gushing out. He then turns back to Azura. He nods.

"We'll set up camp." He said.

Kane and Stella gently placed me on a bed of moss. I look over and see Azura and Lord Patrick making a fire. Pain still festers in my body. Pain like trees growing inside of me. Stella sat next to me. She put her hand on my wound. Her eyes glow white. She created a ball of light on my wound. My wound turned darker and grew more painful. I let out a painful shriek as my flesh seemed to be burning off. Stella stops in shock and draws back. Ciara runs to the scene.

"What happened?" She asks flustered.

"I'm sorry! I tried to do a healing spell but it seems to make his wound worse." Stella cried.

She ran to the fire with eyes of tears. I let out a breath. Kane looked at the sky.

"We should probably rest. It's almost night. I'll protect you, Rain." He says sitting next to me.
