As I walk down the empty streets I look around. The shops are empty and the only noises are the sounds of my footsteps and the wind. I take a moment to examine my surroundings before deciding it's blank-free.

I enter a shop that used to be a supermarket, and then start looking for food. It's been 12 hours since I last had food and by now I'm starving. As I look through the shelves, I become aware of another presence.

A blank.

I hide behind the shelves and begin making my way out of the shop, but it's too late. It's already seen me. I have to eliminate the threat.

The soulless monster begins making it's way over to me saying the words "Make your way over with your hands up in the air or you will be detained" on repeat. If I don't take it out quickly it will alert more.

I take my knife out and make the first move. I use the aisles as a camouflage and creep around the shop until I'm right behind it, then I stab it on the right side of the neck, where the computer chips are inserted.

I take a step back and look at the remains of the blank. It's the second one I've killed so far and I'm already starting to feel a wave of guilt crash over me.

I've done it again.
