Hey guys!

In honor of Speak Now (Taylor's Version), which was released this past Friday, I decided to go through my Wattpad profile and my Spotify playlists and figure out which Taylor Swift songs match up with my couples.

Tony and Shelby

Invisible String
"One single thread of gold tied me to you."
Tony and Shelby are soulmates through and through, and even through all of the things that have happened to them, through all their time apart, they always found their way back to each other.

JJ and Slater

Fearless (TV)
"You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless."
AS IF THAT COULDN'T BE MORE JJ AND SLATER! Insert the scene of him teaching her how to ride his motorbike. Okay?

JJ and Campbell

Dress
"I don't want you like a best friend."
PLEASE. Campbell is the queen of pining, and this song is all about longing and pining. Plus, that best friend line? Totally them.

Benedict and Bex

Paper Rings
"I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this."
Bex would quite literally give up her entire life of luxury for Benedict (not that she needs to, the Bridgertons are wealthy af). This song is just so them.

Jake and Ivy

The Lakes
"I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you."
Ivy doesn't fit in anywhere, and she doesn't feel comfortable around anyone other than Jake. (Side note: I think this is one of Taylor's most beautifully written, most eloquent songs. I love it so much.)

Rafe and Violet

Better Man (TV) (FTV)
"But I just miss you and I just wish you were a better man."
Oh, Rafe and Violet. This song really goes both ways for them. They're both so damaged and broken, and even though they love each other, they're not good for each other.

Rooster and Summer

Glitch
"We were supposed to be just friends."
Summer tried so hard to resist her feelings for Rooster, and ... well, she likes him, obvi. This song is so Summer-coded. (Funny, because in my previous post, I said that Summer was Taylor's Midnights era.)

Stephen and Macy

The Way I Loved You (TV)
"It's 2:00 a.m. and I'm cursing your name."
They hate each other, but do they really? You know what I mean. ;) Enemies to lovers type shit, and I'm here for it.

Percy and Lorelai

All Of The Girls You Loved Before
"Your mother brought you up loyal and kind."
Percy always treats the women in his life with such respect (seriously like the only man written by a man who is "written by a woman" coded) and I think that comes from his mom and his friendships with women, like Annabeth and Thalia. Plus, Lorelai is just like always so in love with everyone she meets, so I think this song goes both ways actually.

Dean and Eddie

Safe & Sound (TV) (feat. Joy Williams and John Paul White)
"You and I will be safe and sound."
Dean and Eddie (spoiler alert) almost die like so many times together, and I think that's part of their love, always saving each other. I wrote their story so long ago, but this seemed like the most fitting.

Well, I hope this was as much fun for y'all as it was for me :) I love Taylor Swift so much, and I love my characters so much. Would love to hear what you guys think about each of these, and if any other TS songs come to mind when you read my stories.
