general life update:

hey everyone! thought i'd post a brief update since i've had some free time to write lately and have updated two of my fics.

first off, if you haven't checked out the newest updates for GIRL GENIUS (tony stark) and LOVER (percy jackson) yet, please do so! 

i'm still in college and classes are still in session, so that's why i haven't been posting much lately. but, i have some time off for thanksgiving break, so hopefully i can get some things up next week! 

also -- what about that election, hey? glad to know we won't be seeing any more of the orange fascist in the white house :)

writing update/draft tour:

i've been taking a look at some of my drafted fics and am considering just posting them all. like they won't be updated regularly, but i have 2-3 chapters for most of them and it would be nice to just get them out in the open.

thoughts on this? 

here's what i have so far that is (kind of) ready to be published: 

1. letters from calliope -- loki laufeyson

this one is any angsty mopey thing that will probably take place during the thor movies. i'm thinking it will remain relatively short, but not sure yet.

2. the hornet -- diego hargreeves/the umbrella academy

hi hello i love diego hargreeves, and after watching season 2 this summer, i've been re-inspired in this fic. this will take place before the show.

3. fear incarnate -- it: chapter one

this is part of a two-book plan i have that will eventually span both IT movies. FEAR INCARNATE would follow the events of the first movie, and then FEAR ETERNAL would follow number two.

4. unnamed fic -- jaime lannister/game of thrones

so i have a few chapters for this one already done, but i CANNOT come up with any ideas for the title. it's going to be a fic between jaime and ned stark's sister (my fictional OC) so if y'all have any ideas, drop them here. otherwise, i might just scroll through my spotify playlists and see if any songs catch my eye for a title. i'm thinking this fic will take place starting season 1, and ending sometime before the end of the series. 

5. defying gravity -- steve rogers

yes my bby steve!!! i actually don't have any fics for him but this one. this one features an OC who's a broadway actress and steve kinda saves her life. drama ensues and my inner musical nerd self comes out.

6. captain of the guards -- game of thrones

ughghhh this one i am actually so excited for! it follows the entire GOT series and features an awesome OC & multiple love interests. this is actually the fic i'm working on right now (like seriously, it's the other tab open on my laptop)

7. unnamed fic -- nate archibald/gossip girl

this one is also lacking of a name ... so again, if you have any suggestions, drop them here! this one follows the adventures of a sweet bostonian as she enters the world of the upper east side. she goes to live with her aunt, a ritzy, UES designer, and quickly befriends nate archibald and is plummeted into the gossip girl world. 

8. 10 things i hate about you -- stephen strange

OMG i'm also in love with this fic, which takes place in the 90s and follows a similar plot to the movie 10 things i hate about you, except the characters are in college, not high school. i honestly kind of forgot about it until i was compiling this list, and i think i might go work on it right now actually ....

9. lola -- clint barton

this is a very old draft of mine. i still really like the idea, just haven't touched it in a while. basically, the titular character, lola, is an FBI agent assigned to work with the avengers in a supervisory role (kinda like coulson is with SHIELD, i guess).

10. foresight - robb stark

ahh yes, another GOT piece. this one i am also really excited for. it starts some time after ned's death and i'm not sure where it will end because i haven't pieced together whether or not i'm going to keep the red wedding canon or not (y'all GOT fans will know what i mean by this). but yeah, it features my favorite family the tyrells and i'm excited.

11. no sleep 'til brooklyn -- steve rogers

100% inspired by the beastie boys' song. i'm thinking for this one, steve falls for a punk rocker. idk, it just makes me very happy to think of lil bby steve falling for some hardcore, badass rocker chick. 

12. maddalena -- steve rogers

i'm actually SCREECHING - this is probably the oldest thing on here, after i deleted a lot of my really old fics like two years ago - it's based on a character i made for a roleplay, and honestly i doubt anything will come of this, but you never know.

13. aim high -- steve rogers

this one is also pretty old, i had an idea of steve falling in love with a badass air force girl but honestly idk if i'll ever get far with this, i just don't have great knowledge of the military and it would require a lot of research. but, who knows. 

14. particular -- twilight

ok, this one is also very old and i'm lowkey embarrassed to have a twilight fic on here, even though i read twilight fics myself (honestly every twilight fanfic is better than the actual series itself). jacob would be the love interest here.

aaand that's all of my drafts :) so many drafts :) so little time :(

i also wanted to give an update on my current, published fics:

1. girl genius -- young tony stark

this is my most popular fic and the amount of messages and comments i get asking when i'm going to update is astonishing. truth is, idk when i'm going to update, inspiration hits sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. the good news on this one is that i'm about to wrap up part two and will then gravitate to part three, aka the final freaking part! i literally cannot believe this. GIRL GENIUS and i have been through so much together, and so many people have given it so much love. i love shelby colewell with my entire heart and am so happy to see her come this far! i'm also planning a shorter sequel to this fic, but obviously that won't be published until GG is finished.

2. lover -- percy jackson

i love LOVER with all of my heart! i just published the first chapter this week, after publishing the intro material and prologue this summer. i finally came up with a great prophecy for an upcoming quest (idk if this counts as a spoiler, but like you knew something was coming ??) and am so excited to watch it play out. also, lorelai thatcher is quickly becoming one of my favorite OCs.

3. sanctuary -- dacre montgomery

this is one of those historical fiction pieces i was talking about before. besides having dacre's name and face claim, the character "dacre" in this book is literally nothing like dacre montgomery in real life (besides the fact that he is also from australia). it's a world war ii piece that takes place mostly in france. anyways, go check it out, i really love it and am excited to start working on it again.

4. lady abbott -- tom holland

this is my other historical fiction piece that, once again, just takes tom's name and face claim for the "tom" character. this one is very downton abbey-esque and i love it. i was working on an update for it earlier today and hope to have the next chapter posted soon. 

5. poker face -- sebastian stan

so -- this is currently my only real celebrity fanfic. i'm currently re-writing it to be in third person POV rather than first person. i have the entire plot laid out in my brain, but i just need to write it now. i still very much love the premise, but i don't know when it will be updated next. i would definitely say this fic is on hiatus.

6. honeybee -- riverdale

this is so embarrassing also, because now i literally hate riverdale. it was my favorite show for like the first two seasons, and now i literally cannot watch it anymore because it's SOOOO ridiculous now. i literally cannot. so, yeah, i'm not going to delete this fic, because i do like what i have so far for it, but i'm definitely not going to be continuing this. so, consider it abandoned :)
