SOMETIMES, JUNI WISHES SHE WERE A STAR. A burning ball of gas holding itself together, watching the galaxy go by. Stars have places with constellations, maybe that's what she seeks, a place.

She constantly craves more. Her arm stretches and aches through the expanse of space. She wants to leave her place that's been solidified through the stars. She assumed that's why she courts trouble like a moth to a flame. Always going too far and pushing the universe to see what happens.

She finally pushed the limit when all her explorations ended with an explosion in her face. She was an idiot for imagining she was a star, she knew better. Juniper Xia Harmon was a fuck up at best. Just a helpless cause trying anything not to be one.

After an incident in the summer that shattered her mother's trust and simultaneously solidified her disappointment in her only child, Juniper is desperate to be better. (She's a dreamer so it shouldn't be hard right?) If she can crave rebellion, why not crave to be better? That's all she does really, want want want.

Juni has dedicated her time to being the star student her mother wants her to be. She has to be better— scratch that, she will be better. Only one problem: she's absolute shit at math. Luckily, the universe sends her a savior in the form of a masked, arachnid-themed vigilante. What she doesn't know is that the hero is her classmate Peter Parker.

Peter Parker, on the other hand, is hopelessly stuck with a tiny(!!) crush on his classmate, Juniper Harmon. He's not even sure the girl knows he exists outside of decathlon practice. He'd never thought of speaking to Juniper but he's kind of forced to when the universe throws him a bone and he finds himself saving her. (Maybe that's one of the perks of moonlighting as a vigilante).

Across every universe, Juniper Harmon and Peter Parker are brought together. And, in every universe, they lose each other. It's an inevitable event like the birth and death of stars. They are forever stuck in each other's gravitational orbit, yearning to reach out and touch the other before the universe yanks them apart.

The ruination of Juniper and Peter begins with a speeding car, and it ends in a supernova.
