Just for later, your weapons are the hook swords! I love Avatar and Jet was an amazing character so ya! Hook swords also look awesome so those are your weapons. If you haven't watched Avatar the Last Airbender before then first of all, shame. Second of all, get on Netflix and binge that show because it is crazy amazing! Anyway, enjoy the chapter and go fangirl over Zuko afterwards!

You sat on your bed, doing some laundry while listening to music. In the time that you have been on the Bounty, you had decorated your room rather nicely.

The walls were a nice shade of grey, with a carpet matching the colour. Your bed was in the corner farthest from the door, with bedsheets and a comforter that were a shimmering silver. Posters littered the walls along with a memory board above your bed. On the board, you had photos of Lou and his quartet, Strix, and you and the ninja from when they won the Blade cup.

Across from the bed, was a white dresser, and a matching closet next to it against the corner. Leaning on the dresser was your guitar case, and a karaoke machine you won at a local singing competition a few months back.

But the most noticeable feature of the room was that the wall across from your bed was a mirror. Across the mirror was a wooden bar stretching across the entire wall. You could still train with the ninja, but you also wanted to keep practicing dance. So your room was also a dance studio.

You were thinking of going out to find Strix, since he didn't know where you had gone, when a thud could be heard from somewhere out in the hallway.

Curious, and wanting to know if anyone was hurt, you left the room. Turning the corner, you saw Kai on the floor with Garmadon standing a little ways away, slowly walking towards him.

"Evil never sleeps." He told the red ninja.

"Yeah, well good never rests." Kai countered.

Oh no, this won't end well. You thought to yourself.

'Tell me about it'

You almost jumped at the sound of the old man in your head, forgetting he was there.

Will you stop?!?! You're freaking me out!

'I am only here to help'

Oh really? Than keep quiet! It's a little weird hearing a voice in my head that isn't my own!

After that, he didn't respond. And you looked back at the two children. They started pushing each other around and you were about to step in when Nya's voice was heard on the other side of the door they were next to.

"What are you doing out here?" The samurai asked as she opened the door.

"Perhaps you should asking Mr. Snoopy-pants that question." Garmadon gestured to the girl's brother.

'How could you be that old, and still be immature enough to call someone Mr. Snoopy-pants? I'm very disappointed...'

What did I say?!

'Apologies, I will try to remember.'

Rolling your eyes, you heard Kai trying to defend his actions.

"I was, uh, keeping watch!" He lied. "So are you the green ninja?"

As Nya answered, you realized you were doing exactly what Kai was doing before he was caught, and started to head back to your room when Jay came running, telling you to get to the bridge.

You did as he asked, while he ran to get the others. Walking into the room you noticed Cole already there, steering the ship, and the screen that had live footage from Zane's falcon. It seemed to be at a temple in front of a volcano, which was where you assumed the third fangblade was.

The others came running in shortly after you did, recognizing the volcano and temple immediately.

Nya warned the ninja of how unstable the volcano was, and you noticed Garmadon slip out. You ignored it and continued to listen. That is, until Kai also noticed General Grievous was missing.

The hothead ran out of the room as Wu tried to stop him. You and the others quickly pursued him. When you got to the room, Kai had locked the door and was battling the Dark Lord.

'I know I'm supposed to be keeping quiet, but might I suggest something?' The voice asked.

What would that be?

'Think of  your happy place. Bright skies, a beautiful beach, then picture the room. Picture it with as much detail as you can remember and concentrate!'

You did as the voice said, and when you bought of the beach, you found yourself on a beach with white sand and crystal clear water. But it only lasted a second as you were suddenly thrown into the room where Garmadon and Kai were fighting it out.

The two stopped and turned their heads to you in confusion. Still not used to the feeling of teleporting around, you swayed a bit before half falling, landing on your knees.

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?" Garmadon asked in a fatherly tone, bending down to help you up.

Kai took the opportunity to kick him in the stomach, knocking the man back and onto the floor.

Your head was spinning in all the chaos that was occurring when you hear Cole suddenly yell, "Earth!" Before knocking down the door, glowing bright, his eyes shining.

What in the name of the first spinjitsu master is happening?! You ask yourself as the chaos ensues, feeling like everyone has gone mad.

'I don't know.'

"I defeated him! I did it! Are my eyes glowing? Did I unlock my powers?? Is this my true potential???" Kai questioned while looking down at his hands.

Everyone stood awkwardly as Kai continued, getting frustrated now.
"Why isn't it working?!"

"Because you cannot defeat someone who allowed himself to be defeated." Wu walked in, a stern look on his face. He kneeled down to his brother, holding his back as Garmadon explained himself.

"I wasn't going to hurt you, boy. I was only fetching your weapons."

"You we're trying to steal them!" Kai accused the four armed man, but Wu cut in.
"I asked him to get them. Perhaps it is best you do not reach your true potential, or else someone could get hurt."

You could see the pain in the red ninja's eyes as his sensei's words hit him like a truck.

Nya walked over to Garmadon, assisting Wu. "Aw, you poor thing!"

"Yes. Poor thing." The Dark Lord grinned at Kai, making him huff and stomp out of the room. You looked over at Garmadon, before following Kai in hopes of talking to him.

You found Kai in his room, sitting on his bed, his head hung in shame.

"Can I come in?" You ask as you slowly open the door, letting yourself in anyway.

"Yeah, what do you need?" Kai responded, sounding defeated. He didn't even look up at you. You sat down next to him on the bed and pat his back. He may have overreacted to Garmadon taking the weapons, but that doesn't mean he can't have someone to talk to.

"I just wanted to check up on you. After all, you did kinda just stormed off after that fight with Garmadon."

The porcupine looked up at you, curious as to why you cared about how he was doing. You weren't as close to him as you were with the others, so he wasn't quite sure why you were there.

Taking his silence as a cue to continue, you did. "Kai, I don't really know you that well, but I do know you really want the green ninja to be you. Why?"

He looked back to the floor, almost in thought. "I... I don't know. I just want to be able to keep everyone safe, and the green ninja is supposed to be the one that can defeat Lord Garmadon. I just don't want anyone else to get hurt, I couldn't imagine Nya having to fight him!"

You listened as he explained, sympathy in your eyes. Before it seemed like the hothead just wanted all the glory that came with being the green ninja, but maybe on the inside he just wanted to take all the pain for his friends, his family.

After the red ninja had finished, you gave him a hug. He was taken aback, but just embraced the hug, needing the comfort.

"You don't have to be the green ninja in order to protect everyone y'know. If your destiny isn't to be the green ninja, maybe it's to protect him, or her. Whoever it is."

You broke away from the hug, and he looked at you with admiration in his eyes.

"Have you been hanging around sensei recently? You're sounding a little too wise for your age."

The two of you shared a laugh, and the boy that had once looked down in the dumps stood up, a smile on his face.

"Thanks for the chat (y/n), I needed it." He thanked you.

"Anytime, Flamebrain."

As you left, a smile appeared on your face. You were happy being able to cheer up Kai, and now you understood him a little better too.

As you turned into the hallway, on your way to the bridge, the Bounty came to an abrupt stop, making you fall. You heard someone grunt behind you as well as in front of you as you fell.

The fall however didn't hurt as much as you anticipated, due to the fact that you were on top of the blue ninja, who yelped in pain. He was about to yell, but all that came out of his mouth was a squeak when he realized it was you who had fallen on him.

His face immediately became bright shades of red, and you didn't quite understand why until you realize how close you were to him, your faces mere centimetres apart. (I refuse to use inches the metric system is better! ITS TIME FOR CHANGE AMERICA!!!)

Now flustered, you jumped off of him and began to apologize repeatedly, but the both of you turned to see Cole laughing his head off at the scene that had just played in front of him.

Jay, now even more red than before, began to yell at the earth ninja. "I knew I heard you behind me!" He marched over to Cole, still crouched over laughing at the scenario.

You just stared at the two, not knowing what to say.

But before Jay could do anything, Nya came running towards the three of you. "Guys, we're here! Everyone's getting ready to find the fangblade and save Lloyd!"

With one last glare at Cole, Jay ran off to get ready while you ran off with Nya, trying to forget what had just happened.

You ran onto the deck, with the new silver gi Nya found for you. Everyone was already there, staring at the fragile structure by the volcano. You gulped as you looked on at the thin bridge, leading to the temple.

Cole turned around, being the first to see you in you new gi. "Nice threads, but you sure you wanna come? This'll be really dangerous, and I don't think dad would be happy to find out his prodigy caught on fire."

You rolled your eyes at his comment. "Don't worry, I've been training with you guys for a while now remember?"

The cake ninja simply huffed and turned away.

You pulled your hood over your head, before heading out with the group. Nya's voice could be heard over the earpieces each of you wore.

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys. All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile."

You felt the heat of the volcano all around you as the group continued into the temple. "Even the smallest rupture can make the whole thing go off." Nya finished.

Wu turned to his students. "Then we must not use our weapons."

You sheathed your hook swords while everyone but Kai did the same with their weapons. Nya reminded Kai to put away his fire sword, to which he did, reluctantly.

The group came to a stop, the old sensei pointing towards the inner core. "There. The serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows."

"It's the only way I know how." Garmadon replied, running in. You ran in with the group, your, stepping lightly just like Lou had taught you.

Once we got to the inner core, we saw the serpentine, digging in different spots for the fangblade. As you watched, Jay pointed out a small boy in a cage, who he said was Lloyd. Seeing the look in Garmadon's eyes when he saw the boy, you knew that you'd have to get him back.

A hypnobrai in a decently sized hole hit something. Pythor turned to him, agitated, probably from the heat. "Out of the way fool!" He hissed to the hypnobrai, pushing him out of they way. The serpent reached down and pulled out the third fangblade.

While the other serpentine cheered, the ninja advanced closer and closer to them. Pythor noticed the ninja and Garmadon in the reflection of the tooth. (I know it's a blade, but it's a tooth. So why does it have a reflection? The great devourer OBVIOUSLY didn't have good enough dental care.)

"Attack!" Pythor yelled, pointing towards the your group.
Guess it's time to show off what you've been learning. You told yourself.

Getting a running start, you jumped into a front hand spring, pushing off against a hypnobrai. You heard another snake attempting to sneak up behind you, to which you turned to face him. Running forward you jumped up, kicking the venomari square in the stomach and onto the ground.

You hardly noticed the other ninja as they shouted their elements before using them to attack.

Kai, not having unlocked his true potential yet, unsheathed his golden sword. As he did, you felt the rumble of the volcano.

Holding a fangpyre, you looked on to Pythor and the other serpentine escaping with Lloyd and the fangblade.

"Let's get out of here! But not before we leave them with a parting gift!" Pythor exclaimed.

Punching the fangpyre in the nose, you let him drop to the floor before pursuing the escaping snakes.

It was difficult however, due to the constrictai digging into the volcano even more, making it more unstable by the second. "Any minute now this place is gonna blow! We have to get out of here!" The lightning ninja yelled.

"Not without my son!" The Darth father argued, pushing the blue ninja out of the way.

"Dad!" You heard the boy yell for his father.

Being closer, you unsheathed your hook swords, running up to the serpentine with Garmadon close behind.

Using your swords, you disarmed the snakes while Garmadon knocked them away, the two of you advancing towards the younger Garmadon.

You charged, pushing and kicking serpentine out of your way. Worried about the two of you catching up, Pythor ordered the venomari holding Lloyd's cage to drop him.

The boy called for his father as the cage landed on a boulder, with lava rising around him. But Garmadon was still a little behind you, the serpentine keeping him busy. You ran towards the mini-Garmadon.

"I'm coming kid!"

Using the hook swords once more, you lifted the bar that was holding the cage right on time as the bottom of the cage melted from the scorching liquid.

The boy landed in your arms, slightly confused to who you were. "Uh, thanks miss!" He exclaimed.

Behind you, you heard two pairs of footsteps, one belonging to Garmadon, the other belonging to Kai.

"Lloyd!"

"Dad!"

You backed away as the two embraced. Garmadon turned to you, a smile on his face.
"Thank you."

Before you could say anything else, a flash of red stormed past the three of you.

"Kai!" You called, chasing after him while he pursued Pythor.

"The fangblade's mine!" He yelled back at the group.

"Kai, (y/n), come back! It's too dangerous!" Cole screamed trying to get you to come back.
"Listen to Cole, Kai! This place is going to explode!!!"

"Then I better be quick!" The hothead ignored you and the earth ninja. Grumbling, you ran after him, attempting to get him out of the volcano, fast.

Kai threw his sword at Pythor, knocking the fangblade out of his grasp. He hissed, but soon retreated, in fear of his life.

As you turned to the others, you saw Lloyd fall off the edge of where the others were due to the cliff crumbling beneath him.

The other ninja held Garmadon down as more rocks fell from above, blocking them from view.

Kai was trying to reach for the fangblade, but noticed Lloyd drifting along on the floating rock.

"Kai, you need to get Lloyd!" You yelled to the hardheaded ninja.

If he heard you, he ignored it as he continued reaching for the fangblade. "Come on... why won't my power unlock?!"

You'd had rolled your eyes if you all weren't in danger. "Listen to me Flamebrain! Remember what we talked about!"

Finally looking up at you, his eyes showed understanding, then his gaze shifted towards the boy.

He turned back to you. "Teleport out of here! I've got the kid."

"Are you sure?" The fangblade was now completely submerged in the lava, and the red ninja jumped over to Lloyd's rock.

"We'll be fine, just go!"

Nodding, you focused on the Bounty, and closed your eyes. When they were opened, you were back on the ship, the others all on the side of the ship, watching to see if the others made it.

When all Hope seemed lost, a ball of fire came flying towards the ship, and you immediately realized who it was.

Kai had finally reached his full potential.

You watched as the ninja, with Lloyd in his arms, landed on the ship. Taking off his hood, he looked to his teacher, who gave him a nod of approval. He then turned to you. You took off your hood, smiling brightly.

I knew he could do it.

'I had my doubts, but looks like he proved me wrong.'

Way to ruin the moment!

You mentally rolled your eyes as the old man chuckled.

Everyone was on the bridge, and you watched as father and son were properly reunited. Unfortunately, their moment was ruined when it was discovered that Lloyd was the green ninja.

Kai explained how he discovered his true potential, "All my training to become the best ninja, wasn't in preparation to become the Green Ninja. It was to protect him." He told the others, glancing at you when he said the last part.

Kai and Nya brought the golden weapons to Lloyd, revealing the truth.

You looked to Garmadon, his once smiling now drooped down in understanding. "That means..."

Wu looked to his brother, sadness evident in his eyes. "The battle lines have been drawn brother. Sadly our family has become more divided; Brother versus brother, and now, son versus father."

There was a heavy silence that filled the air, before Jay went off to question where the fangblade had gone.

It was late and everyone was busy getting ready for bed. You had just finished brushing your teeth and walked out of the bathroom to find an anxious Lloyd in the hallway.

"Hey there little Olive."

He looked up at you, confused.

"It's Lloyd."

"I know, but you're gonna be the green ninja right? And some olives are green, so I just made the connection."

"Oh." He chuckled a bit at the little nickname.

"What are you doing out here?" You asked. Surely the boy would've been in bed by now.

"I was gonna sleep in my dad's room, but after what happened, it just feels, y'know..." you caught on to what he was saying.

"I get it. Would you like to have a little sleepover in my room?" You bent down to whisper in his ear. "I have a little candy stash under my bed, and I'd be willing to share."

The boy's eyes lit up as he nodded in excitement. He took your hand as you lead him to your room.

"Thanks lady!"

"It's (y/n)."

"Okay then, thanks (y/n)!"
