Strangers or Acquaintances?

I sit in the large cushion chair in the living room after making breakfast for Ten, then cleaning up.
I noticed that she was able to handle multiple things at once, which in a way was very impressive, but reminded me of when I get a system overload, similar to a computer having too many tabs open.
She was typing with one hand on a computer, writing down different dates with her other hand, then was talking on the phone with the device wedged between her ear and shoulder. She hasn't even touched her food yet..
I stare at her with a frown. A facial expression I've depicted to work as a way of indicating that I am unhappy with her decision to let her food get cold.
Though she finally gets off of the phone and I jolt back up with a closed eye smile. Though I heard that she was still typing. I wanted her to at least try the recipe I searched up in my database.

"Why aren't you eating? Not only is everything on that plate a good source of nutrients and fiber, but I need specific feedback from you in order to create more meals that will benefit your health. Especially of a person such as you-" I say before I heard her stop typing. I get a little more happy thinking she was finally done, but when I saw her expression, I felt a sort of physical embodiment of what static sounds like.

"A person such as you?" She repeated and I nod my head. "Yes, that is what I said. Do you not understand? I was sure we're speaking the same-"
"No, I understood." She sighs sharply. Her voice sounded heavy and full of emotion. Emotion of which I have not felt before. "I know exactly what you mean." She retorted once again before grabbing a blanket off of the head of the couch and covering herself, tucking her legs into a crossed position. I lean forwards with furrowed eyebrows. I could sense something was wrong based off of her sudden change in posture. "Did I say something inapt?" I ask standing up and sitting beside her. She turns away and closes her computer. She seemed to be finished with whatever she was doing.
So I picked up the plate on the coffee table, grabbed the fork and offering her a fair amount. She didn't even glance at me. I sit confused.
"It was insensitive and stupid. Here I thought you knew how humans feels.. but I suppose I was wrong." She answers back, tucked herself in the fold of the couch, pleated the blanket more around herself. "What do you mean?-" I stammer almost sounding like the offended one.
"You're basically calling me fat!" She retorts before huffing and opening up her computer, irately typing.
I look down to the food in confusion before looking back to Ten. "That isn't what I intended." I state with a subdued voice. She stops typing before raising her head and looking at me, her uneasy face still remaining. "Then what did you mean?"

I pull the blanket off of her, watching the skin on her shoulders scatter with bumps from the cool air of her living room. "I meant, that a beautiful person such as you should keep their diet fair in order to sustain your ivory complexion."
Her face seemed to grow more color after I elucidate. Though she turns her attention back to her computer, but started typing once again.
I offer the fork once more. "Will you at least let me feed you?"
Ten takes the food and munches quietly while her eyes flicker around the screen. I smile brightly and continue feeding her until the plate is empty.

"What is this?" Mal looked perplexed by the small colorful cube he'd snooped for. We'd been going through some boxes in one of my storage rooms that I wanted to turn into an office.
"That's a Rubiks cube, I used to play with it all the time but now, not so much." I lean over and shuffle the sides around. "It's a puzzle, you have to match the colors together on each face. It's pretty fun and there's quite a few professionals who work long hours doing this. Even just as a hobby or skill." I state before showing him the orange side I almost finished, just missing two squares.

Mal looked so full of enthusiasm he might short circuit. I sweatdrop before handing the cube back to him. "Look up some ways to solve it, it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it." I state before digging through more boxes.
I hear a bit of shuffling for a few seconds and smirk to myself thinking he's having fun. "Finished." Mal's voice rang. I slowly lean up, my eyes open wide, mouth agape; I'm completely baffled. "What- you- eugh-" I stuttered out before grabbing the cube from him. "You solved it that quickly?? Did you find a video or something?" I asked looking at all the faces. "No, I retraced the entire pattern back to the beginning when you first started the puzzle."
At that statement I look up quickly, lips now closed tightly. I feel a weird churn in my stomach.
These androids are really advanced.. what the hell.

"You're kidding," I chuckle out slowly.
"Was that humorous? I was being serious, I didn't know-" He tilts his head before taking the cube back.
I roll my eyes and huff through my nose, "No dummy, I'm just surprised you went all the way back in time like that. That's normally impossible."
"Back in time?"
"That's what you said, isn't it?" I hummed in confusion.
"Oh!" He jolts and throws his head back laughing.
I feel my ears and cheeks warming up, "hey what's so funny?!" I pull my shirt up over my face, hiding the embarrassment that grew around my features.
"You are so funny Ten!" He states clapping his hands. 'Grandpa.' I think grinning to myself, his actions were so old fashioned, no way he's this smart but has no social skills... oh right. He's not actually human. My smile fades slightly while he calms down from his—I'm assuming— hysterical high.

"I didn't go back in time, that's not possible. I traced the dates of your fingerprints, and went the opposite direction they were facing." He stated, gesturing as an example while he spoke.
"Huh," I vocalize, crossing my arms as it starts to sort of make sense.

I really don't know much about his programming yet... guess these moments are for learning after all.

"But why do that?" I asked, thinking it was too much effort rather than watching a few minute long video.
"Well because..." He tilted his head down, his holographic particles glittering in the light from the window. I prepared myself for what he was going to say, he made it oddly suspenseful. It was bugging me after a momentary silence, but when his thumbs started tapping on the cube I felt a build up in my chest. I opened my mouth to say something, but he'd already started.
"Because I wanted to take inspiration from your previous efforts."

"....." I stayed silent. Not what I was expecting, but for some reason it still satisfied me, knowing that what he wanted to say, or at the very least assuming that was all.
"Oh." I finally nod, "That's a relief," I smile laugh slightly, "I thought you were gonna say something else, I don't know exactly what, but knowing you it could be anything!" I didn't even notice but, he was looking at me now. His expression was strange. I couldn't read it. I didn't know if it was a malfunction again... maybe. We'll call it that. "I've always wanted to inspire people, Y'know?" I state, bringing up something from my past.
"Especially with my art and stuff," I continued, his eyebrows seemed to raise softly, making his expression seem more intrigued. "Art?" He wondered. "Yeah I draw. Traditionally and digitally. I've studied for quite a long time, nothing too complex or fancy though, just something to have fun with." I didn't even notice how much I'd been smiling while talking, I soon noticed he was staring again.
"Let's go get coffee, and you can tell me more." He suddenly turned and walked out the door." I watch him with my eyes before going after him, "Coffee sounds great!"
