chapter 4: chains and trial by fire part 2

*meanwhile in the control room*

*click* *clack* *click* *clack*

The sound of rapid typing filled the room as fingers danced across the keyboard. One hand was typing at incredible speed while the other took a potato chip in their hand than ate it. Several eyes scanned each screen, each one looking for someone or some thing,//don't know why Cassandra nightfallen asked me to keep my eyes on the late queen's guardian but am I to judge. Don't know why she's a warden, she could destroy the rebellion by herself. But what is difficult is the fact he's been inactive most of the time, almost as if he's just messing with us// the observer thought as they observed the half dragon all while the warden, Cassandra, came in to check on their progress

Cassandra's pov:

"Anything on dragoon and the ones who killed one of our queens?" I asked while the observer sighed, "Jason or should I say queen's dragoon has mostly been quiet. He hasn't done any major moves. I don't know why you're investing so much time on this boy though... If you don't mind me asking, why are you having me watch him like a hawk?" They asked while I glared at Jason with eyes of rage,//one way or another i will find who killed our beloved queen// i thought while I turned my focus to the gazer, "you know the title agent w had and position he was in before his defection!" I said sternly, "and yet for some reason he throws all of that away then supposedly kills her. All while crashing a satellite, sending information transference back to the dark ages." I concluded while agent w walked out of the dining hall," I need to go..." I said as i left the control room, planning my next move,//agent w, just what are you plotting. There's no way you'd let yourself get thrown to my prison without a reason... AND I WILL FIND IT!//

Meanwhile and Jason's pov:

I finished my breakfast, even though my bother continued to pester me for answers, probably wanting to cheat her already light sentence. I then turned my attention to the nearby screens, wondering what time it was,//8:10, first period... normally class would start and as usual I'd be in the corner and taking notes, etc. etc., the teacher would go to explain whatever topic would relate to the class and then we would do some assignment and that would be it. repeat at a later time until either band practice or wood shop where i would be either playing my baritone, yeah i swapped before i got arrested or trying to get an angle right on a block of wood..

//Shakespeare, can you at trim the word count down? your only listener already know this.//azure said in my thoughts as i regained my sense of reality and scanned the area, my bother had left and i was sitting alone at my table, most too afraid of what basically be attributed to being a queen-slayer. "if only they knew..." I said to myself as i put my tray away and went to kill some time until my trial. I wish I could walk out of here without getting a bigger sentence.

i went to the court yard to see if there was anything for me to kill time with or in a better case option, find the one guy who was already breaking out and join them. //didn't they explain everything about this prison on orientation?// azure said in my thoughts, //they did and how could i forget... each cell specifically designed to keep the abilities of their assigned prisoner in total check... no powers, no magic and the worst living conditions to further break the spirit. the food is barely passable, the guards have beaten the smack out of me at a few times a day... and I'm flipping 12 and starting 7th grade// I answered back

// pretty sure that's illegal in every country// azure started, // even hell doesn't do such things... at least not to this extent// he voiced in my mind as i took out a bit of my frustrations on a number of rocks. azure watched from the corner of my mind as i used my frustrations to fuel what little fire i had left into my hands as shattered them with each crude swing. after a few minutes of my anger had subsided and the flame that burned in my hands had extinguished itself slowly. it was as if the world had put me in near checkmate... one round left...

azure's pov

Jason was in his own thoughts as i watched from inside my cage. i waited for the timer to wind down. his free day soon winded down. soon the day turned to night and i awaited for him to return to his cell.//regardless of outcome of the trial ahead... no friends, no family, no confidants... all on him and me// i thought to myself as w returned to his cell without any need to be told as usual.

"the moon sure is full but the light is dim..." i said to myself as i sensed the outside and waited for the new day to arrive.

*the next day*

//today's the day, and I already know that this is going to end horrible. Most lawyers are in hell for a reason and little draco is about to find out the hard way// I thought as I waited for the events to play out.

*some time later, court house*

I wasn't paying much attention to the back and forth between Jason's poor excuse for a defense attorney and the prosecution but I don't think that the sudden appearance of the devil will have a positive impact on his chances.

"We the jury find the defendant Jason kisaragi, former queen's guard... GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES"

//If I can already hear the heart attacks// I thought as I imagined Jason's mother collapsing from the verdict her son was given. Jason on the other hand was trying his best not to panic about his further decreasing outcome as he had to be dragged away from his lawyer. I already knew that he would get what he deserves... one day he's coming back to hell with us.
