1. Different factors went into consideration, like backstory, main character arc, personality, a combination of two, or all. It had to vary from character to character or this would have been impossible.

2. Yes, I did compare my own SU fanfic character to canon SU characters. It's not illegal.

3. Again, just don't take things so literally. If I compared a male character to a female gem, I'm not saying "so-and-so is secretly a girl/is going to transition to a girl." If I have characters a popular ship one character as Lapis and the other as Peridot, or Pearl and Amethyst, or anything like that- that doesn't mean I ship those two fanfic characters together.

Not taking things too literally also goes for criteria (character arc, storyline, and personality). If I compare one of my characters to a SU character that's dead, it doesn't mean that character will die. If I compare one of my characters to a villain, it doesn't mean there a villain, and vise versa for good guys.

4. Each character comparison has a clip underneath it. These are clips where I believe the reflection of my fanfic character is most prominent.
