When you look up whether or not it's legal to own ducks in Michigan, but all that's coming up is people owning ducks for hunting purposes, so you actually look up the ordinances of your city to find out if it's legal.

In my city, it's legal to own a duck as long as you have a 1/2 acre of land, don't attempt to sell it in any way, and it doesn't disturb your neighbors.

Same goes for goats.
