So, today, in fifth hour, we started learning about the War of 1812

FUN FACT

Britain almost took Michigan and made it part of Canada

Mr. Conn was telling us about how the British took over Fort Detroit and were basically making their way up to Fort Mackinac (the British spell it Mackinaw but if you ever spell it like that I will likely punch you in the face)

If Britain would have won it, they would have taken Michigan and Michigan would be part of Canada

Mr. Conn was like, "Everyone in here would be a Canadian instead of an American" and I could just picture Matthew staring at me very intently while the Canadian girls chanted "One of us"

TECHNICALLY my family wouldn't even be in Michigan and therefore I wouldn't be Canadian. My dad's family didn't move to this state until like the 1960s or 70s and my mother's family didn't arrive from Poland until after WWI. Our families wouldn't have been in Michigan when it became apart of Canada, and THEREFORE, I wouldn't be Canadian.

Anyways, then we started doing this game where we were militia men from Kentucky coming up to help the Michiganders and it was kind of like the Oregon Trail game where you make decisions and if you make the wrong decision you die

You don't die in this one there's a point system instead, but you get the idea

Anyways, we have to choose three items to get rid of, and my partner Nick wanted to get rid of option c, which was boots, playing cards, and sewing kit

I was like, "UMMMM NO have you been up north in the winter we'll need those boots."

He was like, "we don't need playing cards"

I was like, "we're gonna get bored"

Him: okay do we need a sewing kit?

Me: yes we will need to stitch our wounds back together Nick have you ever even been in battle?

Him: ... Have you?

Me: I'd like to imagine so, yes

Anyways I was right so SUCK IT NICK

Then I had to go the counseling office to sign up on this website so I could send my transcript to colleges, and you could see your chances of getting into the colleges you want

So I picked my three colleges and put in my GPA and SAT scores

My lowest chance of acceptance was a 96%

So I'm pretty happy about that
