We were talking about WWII today and Mr. Conn told us that just about every country in the world declared war on the Axis Powers, but there was only a handful with powerful armies to actually fight (hence whenever the Allies are mentioned, it's usually the US, Britain and the USSR (you can say France and China all you want but I'm pretty sure both were outta commission)).

He said Canada for example, doesn't have that large of an army, but they don't need to, because we have one. That's why they can afford to be really socialist while we're more of a every man of themselves kinda deal. Canada spends only about 20% on military, whereas we spend over half (around 65%).

There's no need for Canada to protect themselves because basically we'll do it.

The same concept applies around the world.

Pakistan's won't bomb India because they're scared we'll wipe them off the face of the earth.

North Korea doesn't bomb South Korea because we'll blow their asses out and their leader knows it.

Basically we're like the collective army of the world.

Which makes me really angry that a lot of countries we protect talk shit about us? But if they were ever attacked we'd literally be right there for them without blinking an eye?

I'll never understand what's so bad about that.

For example the Philippines hate us and want us to leave them alone.

Okay we leave and then who's gonna stop China from invading them? They sure the hell can't do it themselves, China's a freaking beast.

Also apparently all Jewish people hate Polish people.

Finally, apparently France passed legislation that you can't wear a hijab in public.

I have Muslim friends and this really perturbs me because they are literally the sweetest

People can poke fun at America and be mad about Trump winning the election all they want but I think Europe's the one who needs to get their shit together in my opinion.
