Anyways onto the rambling

So, we dove into the War of 1812 today

And one of the first things he mentioned was the capital burning.

Conn: "The British came down from Canada, after warning the city evacuate. The America army evacuated the civilians and let the White and a couple other capital buildings that had literally just been built burn. And the British did it while singing and staggering around drunk. That's pretty messed up, right?"

Class: *nods*

Conn: "Now... Canada"

Me: "Oh boy"

Conn: "Canada, to this day... *shakes his head* Canadians, for some reason, think they burned the capital. Like, to this day, they take credit for it. Look, they even made this song."

Me: *sighs*

Ashley: "What?"

Me: "I know exactly what song he's about to play."

Ashley: "Huh? How?"

Me: "My Canadians friends think it's funny."

Ashley: *snorts*

Class: *watches song*

Conn: "Isn't that crazy? That is seriously so offensive, you'd never believe that was made by Canadians."

Me: *mutters to Ashley* "It's okay, they haven't done anything important besides that, so we let them feel good about themselves."

Ashley: *dies*

Then, we finished up that game I was telling you about

AND I WON

Well, I guess "we" won, but I put in the most effort.

Nick: "Should we surrender, shoot until we run out of ammunition, or find our general?"

Me: "Well we're certainly not surrendering we're freaking Americans we don't do that."

Nick: "Okay what should we do?"

Me: "Hmmm... Well, the smart option is to find our general... But shooting until we run out of ammunition sounds like the more American way to go out."

Nick: "... So if we do that, we'll die?"

Me: "Probably, but hopefully we can take more of them with us when we go."

Nick: "You realize we aren't really at war, right?"

Me: "Nick you have get in the mind set or we'll never win."

You wanna know what we got for winning?

... Tea.

After fighting Great Britain, we got tea.

I am insulted.
