We had an interesting day.

The two girls are people I sit with in AP bio, and we decided to do this project together where we grow mold.

So, we go on Google maps and find the Rogue River and go to collect dirt and water.

It was not the Rogue River. It was a drain that leads to the Rogue River.

In a ditch 6 or 8 feet down.

So, what does Eliza do?

Jumps into the ditch to collect soil and water for our experiment.

This leaves me and Maya on the side of a main road, with cars driving by, and we are 100% sure that what we are doing in illegal. We thought we were gonna get arrested.

On top of that, it was a very bad neighborhood, so Maya was very scared she was gonna get raped. I was scared someone was gonna shot us.

Moral of the story: rich Arabic girl who never played in dirt + middle-class white girl who never leaves her house + mixed middle-class girl who spent her childhood trekking through the the woods of Kentucky/Tennessee (same state basically) = illegal activities to get an A in a class
