So today, I went and walked around Oakland University with my mom and my friend Kaitlyn. And her mom. And her three younger brothers. It was actually kind of fun. We want to schedule a tour so we can go into the buildings and dorms. Once my mom posts the pictures I'll show you guys how pretty it is there.

Did you know most freshman dorms don't have air conditioning? That's gradist (that's not a word but whatever).

It was gorgeous though oml and they're really big on soccer.

I've been getting lots of emails and letters from colleges this summer. The sad thing is, well, one, they're almost all out of state (Illinois and Indiana, and I also got one from dreaded Ohio), two, 50% of them are Christian colleges... And I've never even been to church, so even though I'm Christian, I feel like I'd really stick out there XD

Then, we went to McDonalds, and my mom got me a large pop cause they were only a dollar.

And then water was $1.39.

Lol and people wonder why we're obese.

But since I didn't get a whole meal, my mom got me a large fry instead of a medium.

I have never felt more American in my life until that moment.

Of my 17 years on this Earth, I have never gotten a large fry. It was just never necessary. When you get a sandwich, a large is just too much food. My mom literally only just started letting me get medium-sized drinks and fries a couple years ago.

But I held those fries in my hand and I thought, "This is what makes America great. McDonald's french fries."

THEN THERE WAS A BULBASAUR AT MCDONALDS

I WAS SPAZZING OUT

I actually got a lot of new Pokémon while walking around Oakland, but I only have one of the three starter Pokémon, the one I got when I started the game.

I was so happy I almost started crying.

Then I realized when we drove back, we drove through Detroit.

We went like this

I mean obviously we followed the roads but this was the basic route. I didn't even think we were going through the Detroit because there's never really a need for us to ever head east. Literally whenever we drive, we're usually driving west. So on the way to the college I didn't even notice. Like, I saw a few tall buildings and a sign that said 'Exit to Canada' and the weird highway bridge system that's outside the city, and all the torn down and bankrupt and falling apart buildings but never once did I think "We're in Detroit" because it never crossed my mind that we were traveling east.

Then, on the way home, I looked up and saw the GM building, clear as day. Like, not even in the distance, I could see the sun gleaming in the glass and everything.

(Side note, I literally had four instances where I said 'like' unnecessarily in the last paragraph oml I'm so uneducated it's ridiculous)

(Second side note I'm actually pretty smart I just have a bad habit of saying like, dude, and bro way too much)

And I was like

"Oh wow ya know that explains a lot of things."

Then I got a job application at a restaurant. I'll most likely be hired, because therewas virtually no staffthere, but who knows?

Tim Hortons was also hiring, so maybe if this backfires I'll just work there XD

And now, I'm home :3 I'll probably be on more later. I need to get into some of my AP bio homework, because I won't be able to work on any tomorrow.

Oh, speaking of tomorrow, I might disappear. I have a soccer tournament in Saint Claire Shores, and on top of playing three games, and I might not have signal.

But we might get stormed out and have to leave so we'll see how that goes 0-0;
