Book Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Yes I have finally reread the book that I read in elementary school and had no recollection of.
And honestly I see how I was able to read it so early on in my childhood in was a very easy read.
I think honestly the simplistic writing is what annoyed me the most about the book just because I'm used to reading people's books on here, which are so much more complex in writing styles, as well as hard reads in school (freaking 1984). That was really my only issue with it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the writing was so simple simple due to Harry's age. I'm kind of hoping that as the book's progress, the writing grows with him.
As for the context of the story, I loved it. You can't help but admire the fact that Rowling created this entire world, and how in depth it is; it's definitely impressive, and I feel like with only reading the first book, I've barely scraped the surface of the wizarding world. I can't wait to read more.
I loved the plot. I knew already Quirrell was the bad guy with Voldemort on the back of his head, but I still liked reading the process of Harry and the crew figuring out what was happening.
When Harry saw his parents in the mirror 😢 Much feels. Poor boy. He needs love.
And I know he gets with Ginny eventually, but... SHE'S DESCRIBED AS BEING SO YOUNG I CAN'T HELP BUT BEING CREEPED OUT BY IT SORRY
Ron is a savage
Hermione is exactly like me except she's really vocal about being smart and is WAY braver than me
I love the twins. They're hilarious. I don't know which one dies, but I'll probably cry whichever way, so it doesn't really matter
Percy is me
I loved Christmas when they were all wearing their Weasley sweaters and Harry got one ❤️
Forge and Gred
Loved it
All and all, I'm excited to read the next one. I'll probably start it at school tomorrow
