My family's skin tones
Father: Pale skin. In the summer, he usually gets one really bad burn. However, once it peels, he's tanner and usually doesn't burn for the rest the summer (but he usually doesn't get any tanner either).
Mother: Has an olive tone complexion in the winter. When summer comes, she gets super tan super easily. By the end of the summer, she's pretty much brown. However, this tan is achieved mostly through sunburns.
Me: Relatively pale in the winter, but I still have a olive undertone. When summer comes, I never burn; the worst I get in a little flush that goes away overnight. I'm probably capable of getting as tan as my mom, but I don't really go outside.
Michelle: Pasty. She can get a bit of color, but almost every time she's out in the sun, she burns. Her skin is so light sensitive, that if she spends, say, 5 hours in the sun, she's likely to blister.
Alexis: Only a bit paler than my mom in the winter, and is able to be as tan. However, like my mom, she can get sunburnt (just not as easily).
