A/N: Fem!Bucky AU.

As the Avengers wait in the common room while Shuri helped Sam, Steve bites at his fingernails and bounces his knee anxiously. Then, Okoye suddenly comes in and talks to the other Dora Milage in wakandan. Her voice sounded urgent which made Steve concerned and curious.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Steve asked Okoye.

"Sergeant Barnes is in labor, but don't worry, we shall handle it." Okoye told him.

"WHAT!?!" everyone shouted in shock as the Dora Milage left the room.

"Can today get any crazier!?" Steve groaned with his head in his hands.

Now not only were the other Avengers waiting to hear about Sam's condition, they were also anxiously waiting for word about Bucky and her baby.

"Should I go help?" Steve said, unable to sit still.

"I think the Dora Milage's got it handled, Cap." Clint replied.

"But, Bucky's my best friend. Sam can't be there for her, so I have to be." Steve said, leaving the common area and heading towards Bucky's room.

When he gets to Bucky's room, Steve stands by her side and holds her hand.

"I'm here, Buck, I'm right here." Steve told his best friend.

"I'm scared, Steve." Bucky whimpered, breathing heavily.

"I know, pal, but you'll be okay. You're one of the strongest gals I know, you've got this." Steve said, squeezing her hand and rubbing her back.

"I want Sam!" Bucky cried out as another contraction hit her.

"I know, Buck, I'm sorry he can't be here right now." Steve replied kissing her head to comfort her.

Two hours later, Sam's memory had been fixed.

"It's good to have you back, Sam. Bucky and Steve have been awfully worried about you." Bruce said.

"Yeah, especially since Bucky's pregnant and all." Tony added.

"W-what?" Sam replied quietly, in a state of shock.

"Bucky's pregnant!?" Shuri shouted, eyes going wide, jaw dropping.

Sam bolts out of the medbay and heads for the common area, hoping to see his girlfriend there.

"Where's Bucky!?" Sam asked the second he stepped foot into the common area, not seeing his girlfriend.

Clint, Scott, and Peter exchange nervous glances, not knowing what to say.

"She's in labor." Natasha said bluntly.

He didn't really give himself the time to fully process the information he was given, all that was on his mind was that Bucky needed him. When he gets to his and Bucky's room, he barely registers that the Dora Milage and Steve is there, all he is focused on is Bucky.

"S-Sam?" Bucky whimpered, her face red and sweating.

"It's alright, baby, I'm here." Sam replied, kneeling on the bed next to Bucky.

Bucky wasn't sure if she was crying because of the pain, the hormones, or the relief that Sam was by her side, but she lets loose the tears regardless.

"Sergeant Barnes, I see the baby's head, you need to start pushing." Ayo told her.

"I don't know if I can do this, Sam." Bucky cried.

"Oh, honey, of course you can, you got this." Sam said wrapping his arm around her and kissing the crook of her neck.

After a few minutes of intense pushing and screaming, the room was filled with the sound of a crying baby boy. It was only when Bucky was holding the tiny human, that everything sunk in for Sam.

"Holy sh*t, I'm a dad." Sam mumbled shakily.

He gently takes the baby's hand between his thumb and forefinger, the baby immediately clenching his little digits around Sam's finger.

"Holy sh*t, I'm a dad." Sam repeated, choking up.

Over to the side, Steve wasn't even attempting to hide the fact that he was crying too.

"Aww, Captain Rogers, are you crying? That's sweet." Okoye said, patting him on the shoulder.

"Well, yeah, how can ya not? Plus....I think Buck broke my hand." Steve sniffled.

Then Bucky and the baby are taken to the medbay to get checked out, and thankfully both baby and mama are perfectly healthy. And Steve's hand wasn't broken, it was just a little fractured. Exhausted, Bucky, of course, falls asleep seconds after Bruce examined her. While she slept, Sam cradles his newborn son carefully in his arms.

"God, I can't believe I almost missed this." Sam whispered, so he wouldn't wake the baby or his mom.

Sam didn't want to think about what he would've done if he had missed his first child's birth. He also felt horrible that he wasn't there for Bucky during her pregnancy, but was grateful that she was well taken care of by the rest of the team and Steve. After Bucky and the baby, named Carter Paul Barnes-Wilson, was well rested, the team came by to see the newest edition to their avengers family.

"Awww, he's so cute and little." Peter cooed.

"He looks just like his daddy." Natasha said smiling fondly.

Next, Scott and Clint were sharing stories about when their kids were born and how happy it made them. Then Tony told the new parents that he just opened a savings account for the little fella, starting it with a buttload of money....he also replaced the mattress in their room.

"I'm so glad I finally got you back." Bucky said once her and Sam were alone again, Carter sleeping in a bassinet next to the bed.

Sam and Bucky were in bed, cuddling, making up for the time they lost while Sam was in a coma. Bucky clings tightly to her boyfriend, fearing he would disappear if she were to let go.

"Try not to scare me like that again, okay? I can't lose you, Sammy, especially not now." Bucky said, sniffling back tears.

"I promise, baby. You and Carter will always have me, no matter what." Sam said, hugging Bucky closer to him.

He brushes back her hair and kisses her forehead, then he dips down and kisses her lips.

"Just so you know, you're keeping that thing between your legs away from me for the next few months. There's no way in h*ll I'm risking having two babies back-to-back." Bucky told Sam firmly.

"So, if you wanna get frisky, it'll have to be from the waist up." she added, chuckling against Sam's lips.

"Babe, we have a newborn right now....it'll be quite a while before we even have the energy to do anything but sleep." Sam pointed out.

And to prove his statement, Carter wakes up and starts crying, demanding to be fed.
