Winter POV

       The sun rises in the morning and (Y/n) is slow to wake up, so I shake my body a little to rouse him.

Winter: (Y/n), time to wake up.

(Y/n): Two more months, please. *stretches as wakes up*

Winter: So, where are we?

(Y/n): *looks around and grows confused*

Winter: Well? Which way?

(Y/n): Um, I think *points to the left* it's that way.

Winter: You think or you know?

(Y/n): Um, that way? *points to the right*

Winter: *groans* Why wasn't I turned into a homing pigeon? *outward* Come on. *(Y/n) gets down*

(Y/n): Hey, walking with mammoths was your idea. *to the mammoths* Thanks for the company guys. See ya. *catches up to Winter* Lucky for you, I've been lost worse than this before. Last summer, I was rooting around with Bucky-

Winter: Enough with the stories! I don't care about the time you and Binky found, you know, the world's biggest pinecone ever!

(Y/n): Firstly, his name's Bucky, not Binky. Second, it wasn't a pinecone, it was a pine nut, and it was huge even bigger than your fat head!

     We continue arguing for several minutes until he blames me for us being lost.

(Y/n): I'm sorry we're lost, okay. Even though it's pretty much your fault.

Winter: My fault! Ugh, that's it!

(Y/n): Just remember, if it weren't for me you'd still be hanging upside down right now.

Winter: Yeah well, better than being stuck out here with you and your blabbering mouth! *mockingly imitates (Y/n)* I'm lost. I can't find my mommy. Will you take me to the lake? *normal* Why don't you just grow up?!

(Y/n): Fine, I'll just go on my own then!

Winter: Fine. Go ahead.

(Y/n): Fine.

Winter: Fine.

(Y/n): Fine.

       (Y/n) starts to leave and I immediately started thinking that I could've handled that situation a lot better, plus I still needed his help getting to the mountian. So, I followed him until we came across old human village ruins, from when Mantle tried expanding. We see burnt and destroyed buildings all around us. I eventually uncover a painting of a man vs a dragon, originally I thought of the dragon being evil until (Y/n) came next to me and said.

(Y/n): Those monsters are really scary, especially with those sticks.

     I look down at him and look back at the human in the painting and realize that the dragons must see us as monsters just as we see them as such. Suddenly, my nose starts picking up something and I start sniffing around.

(A/N): End music here.

(Y/n): What is it?

Winter: Shh. *sniffs some more* Stay close to me.

(Y/n): Winter?

        Suddenly, a few Ursa Grimm come into view, they see us and growl loudly before charging.

(Y/n): What do we do?!

        I remember that all dragons have some sort of breath attack, so I muster whatever energy I have and breath in deep, then unleash a huge stream of ice. The ice traps the Grimm and ends up turning them to ash.

(Y/n): Whoa.

Winter: Come on, let's go before anymore show up.

      I let (Y/n) climb on my back and we head away from the town, noon comes around and we are climbing through another mountainous area and I ask (Y/n).

Winter: So, recognize anything yet? Maybe you can't see past my fat head. *giggles* So, do you really think I have a fat head?

(Y/n): Well if you hunched your shoulders a little, it wouldn't seem so big. *laughs*

Winter: *giggles* Oh, you mean like this? *swings body to one side* Or like this? *swings to the other side as (Y/n) laughs* How about this? *shakes around*

(Y/n): *laughs hysterically* *sniffs* Hey, wait a second. *sniffs and hops down* I know this place! *runs ahead*

Winter: You do?

(Y/n): Yeah, the lake is not far.

     I approach as something worrying comes into view.

(Y/n): We just have to go through here.

I look at this field with a bit of worry, then look at (Y/n) who just says...

(Y/n): What?

     Hesitantly, we head into the Valley of Fire, (Y/n) is running around having a great time, while I tentatively step around the field.

Winter: You sure you know where you're going?

(Y/n): Yeah, follow me.

     I start losing sight of (Y/n) as he runs ahead of me, as I narrowly avoid a geyser I start calling for him.

Winter: (Y/n)? *no response* (Y/n)?! (Y/n)? Where are you?

      I start getting worried and start sniffing around for him, until-

(Y/n): *jumps on my back* Rah!

Winter: Ahh!

     I manage to jump in surprise as (Y/n) laughs at his own prank.

Winter: Don't do that!

(Y/n): Scared you didn't I? *laughs*

Winter: No, I was worried for your safety.

(Y/n): Heheh, you can't fool me.

     I then notice something coming through the steam.

Winter: (Y/n)!

    I grab (Y/n) and pull him out of the way as my sword stabs into the ground, then Weiss jumps through with anger and hatred in her eyes.

Winter: *disbelief* No. *snaps back to reality* (Y/n), run!

(Y/n): Winter?

Winter: She's here for me not you, now go!

(Y/n) does end up running before Weiss charges me and I get an idea, I rear up on my hind legs and slam down creating a geyser in front of Weiss to stop and disorient her. I turn around and start running, I get to the edge of the field but I don't see (Y/n) anywhere.

(A/N): End music here.

(Y/n): *in distance* Winter!

     I realize he must've gotten lost in the geyser field and turn around to go find him.

(Y/n): Winter, where are you?!

     I follow his voice and find him, I lift him up with my tusks and run back to the rock bridge out of the geyser field. I get to the bridge and part of it gives out underfoot as I run, so I decide to slow down and take my time.

(Y/n): Winter, behind us!

     I look and see Weiss back after us, I try to speed up a bit but the bridge is narrow, I feel the bridge crack and look back to see Weiss trying to break up the bridge. I toss (Y/n) to the other side onto solid ground, Weiss then manages to break the bridge, so I muster all my strength and jump to the other side and land next to (Y/n) with enough force to shake the ground.

Weiss: *frustrated* NO!

      I look back and can't imagine what Weiss must be feeling, she throws a rock in dispair as (Y/n) tells me we should leave. I wish I could get Weiss to understand but I have no choice but turn and walk away. Then-

Weiss: RAHHH!

     I turn around to see Weiss attempted to leap across the gap, I turn back as she hits the cliff side, I look down fearing the worst, but Weiss is using both her sword and mine to climb the cliff, she stops to take a breath and looks up at me and I thought we made a connection until the part of the cliff that Weiss was climbing on broke off causing her to fall, I reacted quickly and tried to reach out with my tail but missed. I watched worringly as my beloved sister fell into the river below, thankfully she was able to create a ice block to ride down the river. Eventually she faded from view and (Y/n) and I went on our way, we made it a fair distance before (Y/n) asked.

(Y/n): Why does she hate us, Winter?

Winter: We're dragons.

(Y/n): So?

Winter: Well, you know how they are, they're... they're killers.

(Y/n): Wait who's the killers?

Winter: Dragons.

(Y/n): Which dragons? I'm not like that and you're not like that.

Winter: Well, obviously not all dragons. I mean, your okay, but most dragons... most dragons will look for an excuse to attack the human.

(Y/n): But Winter, she attacked us.

Winter: *sigh* You're just a kid. You'll understand when you're older.

Bird: Fish! Fish! Fish! Fish!

     I move out of the way of a flying bird and (Y/n) starts getting exciting.

(Y/n): We made it! Haha! We're here, come on!

Winter: (Y/n)!

      I am distracted by a whole flock of fish eating birds flying past me causing me to back up and slip and fall into some water, I recover and surface, I relax a little until my tusks clash with another dragon, I back away in surprise and come face to face with another, I back away from this one and as I turn around I see the biggest dragon I've ever seen rise to his feet and snap up a mouthful of fish.
