One...
I went to her as soon as I remembered her. I had no idea where I would put her, but I would have her.
I crept through the thick, snow-filled forest surrounding an older base in Russia.
When I was within hearing distance of the base (for them as well as her), I took a deep breath before howling as loudly as I could.
A few silent seconds passed, a louder, much more guttural howl filled the air.
A sadistic grin fell over my face, she was here. I could see lights turn on in the building, I could see people scrambling.
Gunshots sounded from behind me, what the fuck?
I moved closer to the base, I had enough ammunition to handle this myself if necessary. If I ran out, knives would work just fine until I found her.
I vaulted myself over the base's perimeter fence with ease before making my way inside.
I heard heavy steps rushing in my direction, I pulled out my pistol as I rounded the corner, putting a bullet between his eyes. He crumbled before he even knew what happened.
I heard her howl again, it was much closer.
I started in her direction, putting bullets in the soldiers who rushed in my direction. Most of them didn't even know I was there. This was easy, too easy.
I heard a loud thud on the door a few meters ahead. I could hear snuffling from under it and a low growl.
I hit the door with my metal fist, giving my own growl in return.
I heard a scraping noise as she moved away from the door.
I unhinged the locks before I was able to open the door. It was dark, one barred, tinted window was the only thing giving light to the room.
"You can't keep us here, they know where we are," a deep voice snapped from the darkness.
Was that the man from the bridge? I stepped farther into the room, leaning my back against the wall as I flipped on the light switch, arms crossed.
There were five people and a wolf creature appeared as the darkness was overcome by the light.
"Bucky?"
