Chanyeol and Baekhyun arrived at the restaurant soon after the other, and Chanyeol greeted him with a soft smile and a gentle peck on the cheek. Baekhyun blushed all the way down to his neck, and happily laced his fingers with Chanyeol when he offered his hand.

Chanyeol lead Baekhyun inside the building, and stopped before they reached the receptionist desk as he turned around to lightly place his hands on Baekhyun's shoulders. Chanyeol's eyes slowly took in Baekhyun's appearance, starting at his shoes and traveled the length of his body. He smiled when their gazes locked again, and he rubbed Baekhyun's shoulders he softly said, "I thought having dinner with you would be nice, but as I thought about it more, having dinner didn't feel right to me. So I cancelled our reservation."

Baekhyun's eyes widened and his mouth opened, but Chanyeol placed his finger over his lips to hush him as he continued to say, "I cancelled our reservation because I couldn't picture us on a boring dinner date. I want to do something fun and exciting, so I have a few suggestions . . ." Chanyeol reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper, he opened it and read the first idea, then the second, and the third.

Baekhyun just listened, and mentally mulled over the ideas before saying, "I like your first idea."

Chanyeol smiled and grabbed Baekhyun's hand as he softly replied, "Perfect, that was my first choice too."

Baekhyun smiled too, and then they were walking out to Baekhyun's car, since Chanyeol's car was still at the repair shop and he had gotten a cab ride to get to the restaurant.

Baekhyun parked along the street, happy there wasn't too much traffic on account of the cold. He got out of his car and walked to the front to wait for Chanyeol, and smiled when Chanyeol threaded his arm through Baekhyun's and walked him across the street to the movie theater they had settled on. It was nice and warm inside, and Baekhyun pulled off his hat and shook out his hair before glancing up at Chanyeol.

"Is there a movie you were wanting to see?" Baekhyun asked.

Chanyeol chuckled and shook his head as he replied, "I honestly didn't look at the movie reviews, I was just too focused on taking you somewhere for our date . . ."

Baekhyun laughed and stepped forward as he said, "I'll find us something . . ." He went over to look at the movies playing for the night, and saw a few that looked pretty interesting, and ultimately decided on a romantic comedy; he was feeling sentimental tonight. Once he had made his decision, he skipped back to Chanyeol and grabbed his hand as he smiled and said, "I've made a decision, let's get our tickets."

Chanyeol smiled as he followed Baekhyun up to the register, and asked for two movie tickets to see an American film called You've Got Mail. (A/N: The movie is actually from 1998, but let's just say it's new. 😂) Chanyeol took their movie tickets with a small nod and a muttered, "Thank you," before glancing behind himself to ask what kind of food and drink Baekhyun would like, only for his eyes to settle on empty air.

He looked around curiously, and found him already buying the food and drinks. Chanyeol laughed to himself as he walked towards him, and grinned as he slide his arms around Baekhyun's waist and rested his chin on the top of Baekhyun's head as he softly muttered, "You don't have to buy anything, I'm more than happy to pay for you."

Baekhyun rolled his eyes and tilted his head to peek up at Chanyeol as he replied, "I'm sure you are, but after all, I was the one who asked you out. And you know what, Elfie, I'm buying the food and drinks since you already bought the expensive tickets." Baekhyun rolled his eyes again.

Chanyeol grinned and quickly pecked Baekhyun's lips before muttering into his ear, "How do you know what I want . . .?"

A shiver raced up Baekhyun's spine from the tingle of Chanyeol's lips against his ear, and he shook it off before replying, "Remember I asked you what your favorite candy was, and you told me Twix?" Chanyeol nodded. "Well, I then decided that was too small to last the whole movie so I bought M&M's instead. I also know from that one night we watched a movie at your apartment, that you love popcorn with that white cheddar stuff, so I got a bucket with that on the popcorn. And for your drink, you always have a Coke, so I also got you that." Baekhyun smiled and twisted around in Chanyeol's arms, his hands going up to wind around his neck as he softly asked, "So, how did I do?"

Chanyeol pursed his lips, and ducking his head to kiss Baekhyun before softly whispering against his mouth, "You did amazingly well, I'm shocked at how right you are."

Baekhyun giggled and hugging Chanyeol closer as he replied, "Not to sound creepy or anything, but I like watching you."

Chanyeol laughed. "Oh wow, you just sounded very creepy." Baekhyun huffed and playfully punched Chanyeol's arm, making him laugh again before he cried, "I'm kidding, I like that you care enough to remember what I like."

Baekhyun smiled smugly and said, "Much better." Then he quickly kissed Chanyeol's cheek before turning around to pick up the M&M's, and placing them into his mouth before picking up the popcorn bucket in one hand and the drink tray in his other hand. He turned back around to Chanyeol and cried, "Ready!" in a muffled voice.

Chanyeol laughed and tried taking the M&M's out of Baekhyun's mouth, but he turned his head away and let out a muffled growl in response; Chanyeol nearly died on the floor in laughter.

After composing himself enough to walk, he lead the way to their movie and held the door open for Baekhyun, still chuckling at how ridiculous yet adorable he looked with his hands full of popcorn and pop; and a unopened bag of M&M's in his mouth. They used the light from the previews before the movie to find their sit, and then Baekhyun was using his butt to push his seat down so he could sit; Chanyeol continued to chuckle at him as he pushed his own seat down with his hand before settling into it properly.

Baekhyun placed the popcorn into his lap before removing the two drinks and placing them into the cupholders, and then finally he removed the M&M bag and tore away the wet corner before handing them to Chanyeol; Chanyeol rolled his eyes and accepted the candy with a smile. Baekhyun smiled too and tossed a piece of popcorn into his mouth before whispering, "Thank you for suggesting this, I'm already having a great time."

Chanyeol smiled and popped an M&M into his mouth before replying, "So am I, I like watching your problem solving skills."

Baekhyun laughed and playfully rolled his eyes before replying, "I'm glad I amuse you."

Chanyeol grinned and leaned over to kiss Baekhyun's temple before softly whispering, "You make me smile and laugh, and I thank you for that."

A blush colored Baekhyun's cheeks, and he softly replied, "You're welcome . . ."

Chanyeol smiled at his shyness and reached over to grab his hand, lacing their fingers together and placing their arms between the two of them. His thumb rubbed small circles over the skin of his knuckles as the movie began to start, and settling in, Baekhyun leaned his head onto Chanyeol's shoulder. A small smile curved Chanyeol's lips as he settled in for the two hour long movie, unable to think of a more perfect place to be then by Baekhyun's side.
