Dear Yumi,

You know, not talking to you? The absolute worst

I ignored you at school

I stopped picking up your calls

Full of this foolish, righteous anger

It tore me apart.

You called several times that night

I switched my phone off.

I was brooding in my room, uselessly strumming the strings of my guitar,

When I heard the doorbell

I got up lazily and opened the door

"Bom," you said

"Yumi," I said

"I-"

You couldn't finish that sentence because I had wrapped my arms around you

Pulling you close, burying my face in your hair

"I'm sorry." We said at the same time after we parted

You laughed and said "Shall we take a stroll?"

I smiled. "Sure"
