Chapter 11

Melody had a broken foot; so obviously she couldn't have gotten far. That's when I finally tuned into the sound of rushing water. Mel was in the shower. At least she's safe. I got up to look for my clothes I had brought to where today which were somewhere in the room. As I was walking out of her room I heard mel tell through the door, "Your clothes are in the third drawer on the blue dresser."
"Thank you."
"Yeah." I grabbed my clothes and walked to the guest bathroom in her hallway. It was painted a breezy blue. The shower curtains where an off-white and they had little beach decorations. I grabbed my towel from underneath the sink and placed it on the counter.

After my shower I walked (which was more like hobbling) downstairs to see what my mom made for breakfast. "Good morning."
"Good morning honey, what do you want for breakfast."
"Whatever you feel like making." I grabbed my orange juice and a cup and sat down at the table. Then came the yelling. "MELODY! Where is my shade 27 foundation? I need it!"
"Why so you can look like a clown?" I tried to say it under my breath but my mom heard me and she actually laughed. "It's in my bedroom on the creamish colored vanity."
"Thanks."
"No problem." I said to my sister.
My mom said, "If she's going to keep using foundation she needs to get a new shade. She looks like she just walked out of a tanning bed that took a wrong turn." Me and Nate just busted out laughing. "I heard that mother." Me and Nate just covered our mouths and kept laughing.
"Breakfast is done Mel. I'll keep it in the microwave for Nate so it's warm when he gets out."
"Okay thanks mom, oh, and what did you make."
"Oh you know just your favorite." She said turning around with a big smile. I just broke out into the biggest smile I had for weeks. It had been awhile since I had, "White Chocolate Chip Pancakes!!!" I yelled when Nate walked out.
