Chapter 7: Even If I Die, It's You

"How does this look?" I ask as I lean against the doorway of the dressing room, watching the two men eye my outfit from head to toe.

I picked out a pink overcoat with cuffed sleeves, the ends of the garment reaching about mid-thigh. Underneath is a simple purple dress that also reaches my mid thigh, made from some thick fabric meant to keep out the cold.

The top of the dress itself is white and thick enough that it makes me look like I have larger breasts than I do normally. Never thought I'd say it, but I wish my boobs were bigger. Don't tell the boys I said that though.

The top also has sleeves that reach my wrists, along with suspenders that match the purple skirt. I chose to wear some thicker tights underneath the dress that matches my skin tone, and paired the outfit with some pink boots that have white fluffy trim at the top.

While I was changing I realized just how long my hair had gotten, it's already almost past my butt now. I should go get it trimmed down a bit, I think to myself while waiting for the boy's reactions.

"Are you sure that will be warm enough for you?" Jin asks after a moment, looking up at me with a concerned expression on his face. "You don't want your legs to get too cold."

"The tights are thicker than you think, Jinnie!" I say excitedly, bounding over to them and taking a seat between the two. "But I'll look into some winter leggings in case it's not enough. Are you guys going to try on anything?"

Yoongi shakes his head, giving me a slight smile. "We've lived here for years now, we've got ourselves covered. You look amazing in that by the way."

"I thought you didn't like pink?" Jin asks, tilting his head to the side. "Just surprising you'd pick out something with so much of it."

I tuck a strand of my bubblegum pink hair behind my ear, shrugging a little in response. "I went for comfort first, and when I saw the dress I thought why not, you know? Try something new, I won't be nineteen forever."

"Ack, you're making me feel old!" Yoongi says with a groan, but the smile on his face only gets wider.

"How do you think I feel?" Jin protests, resting his head on my shoulder with a pout on his face. "I'm the oldest here!"

"Well, you all look comfortable!"

I squealed in surprise as a third voice spoke up behind us, nearly falling off of the couch we were sitting on. Minho bursts into laughter, rubbing the back of his neck with a bright smile on his face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you all!"

Choi Minho, my friend and Taehyung's co-star in the historical drama 'Hwarang'. We met a few months ago when I went to visit Taehyung on set, him and some of the other cast members were really sweet to me when Taehyung introduced us.

"Minho!" I cry, jumping up and wrapping my arms around him in a bear hug. "It's been too long!"

"That it has!" He says with another chuckle, ruffling up my hair a little before returning the hug. "I meant to ask Taehyung for your number, but then, well, everything started going nuts with you guys. How are you doing, by the way?"

"A lot better now that it's all over. What are you doing here?"

"Uh, hello?" Jin pipes up from beside me, startling me once again. "We'd like to say hi as well, princess."

Yoongi wraps his arms around my waist and gently removes me from Minho, I didn't even realize I was still hugging him. Instead of letting me go, he simply rests his head on my shoulder while looking over at Minho with a slight smile on his face.

I didn't even hear them get up, I think to myself as Minho bows to the both of them."Seokjin, Yoongi, it's great to see you as well. I'm sorry we haven't kept in touch," He says, shifting to stuff his hands in his jacket pockets.

Minho's wearing a brown overcoat that reaches his knees, a pair of dark blue jeans and some black tennis shoes. A red scarf is wrapped around his neck, which I assume he's using as a mask while he's out.

"Likewise," Yoongi replies. "Taehyung said that Hwarang is going to be released later this month, he's pretty excited for us to watch it."

Minho laughs again as he and Jin both take a seat on the couch, Yoongi pulling me against my will towards the armchair and setting me in his lap. I give him a dirty look that says, I have feet, I can walk you know.

He merely shrugs before burying his face into my neck. What is up with him today?

"Yeah, we worked really hard to finish it on schedule. Anyways, I heard you guys have some concerts coming up? All of us managed to score a ticket to the show, so we'll be cheering you guys on from the stands."

By 'us', he probably means the rest of his group, SHINee. I've listened to a few of their songs, though I can say my favorite is 'Replay' by far. They debuted well before BTS, so I believe they're considered part of the second generation of K-Pop.

"Yeah, we're going to be really busy this next week," Jin says with a smile. "There won't be much time in between assignments for any of us, but I have a feeling our rose will find time to bake something here and there."

"You bet!" I reply, giggling a little as Yoongi gently pokes my sides. "I plan on making some Christmas cookies, you all are welcome to come by and help decorate them with us! Assuming the rest of my soulmates aren't too busy.."

Both Jin and Yoongi give me a guilty look, but I should have guessed the answer to that. "Okay well, you're welcome to come by either way," I continue, though I know I shouldn't get my hopes up. They're just as busy as me, so I shouldn't expect too much of them. "I'd love to meet the rest of SHINee."

"I'll definitely make sure to discuss it with them, Jonghyun especially wants to meet you," Minho says happily, before reaching into his pocket for his phone. "Here, let me get your number now so we can talk more, before I forget this time."

I can't help but laugh before handing him my phone, taking his in return. I punch my number in and give myself the name 'Bangtan's Rose'. I mean, why not right?

We exchange phones once more, and I stand up much to the dismay of the little meow meow. "Alright, I'm going to change back into my clothes, so give me a few and I'll be right back out." I say, setting my phone down in my purse before walking back to the dressing room.

"Wait, you're trying on winter clothes?" Minho asks, his eyes lighting up as he claps his hands together. "Can I pick out a couple things for you?"

"I don't see why not, as long as these two don't mind," I reply, looking over at my soulmates.

Yoongi pouts a little but shrugs, and Jin gives the male a small smile in return. "That's fine, it's what we came here for after all," the eldest says, though I can see his shoulders tense as he says those words.

I frown a bit, knowing that something is definitely up with those two. I'll have to ask them about that later, I think to myself before slipping into the fitting room and closing the door behind me.

I don't take too long to change, but when I exit the fitting room I find that Minho is nowhere to be found. Not only that, but both Yoongi and Jin are gone as well. "Guys?" I call, thinking that maybe one of them walked off for a moment.

When I get no answer, I can feel my heart sink a little with worry. Did something happen to them? I wonder, before shaking my head to rid myself of those thoughts. They probably went with Minho or something, I should go see if I can find them.

After gathering all of my stuff and the clothes I've picked out, I make my way out of the fitting area and into the rest of the store. My mask is snug over my face, but sadly I can't do much for my hair. If people recognize me, then I'll just have to make a break for it and call the boys to meet somewhere else.

Wait, why didn't I think about that before? I quickly pull out my phone and go to my emergency contacts, my finger hovering over Jin's icon. I hesitate for a moment though, before shifting my attention to Yoongi's and tapping his picture to dial. He seemed really off today, so I should see if he's alright.

However, my call goes right to voicemail. My brow furrows since I know he has his phone on him, and all of the boys tend to keep it on vibrate after the whole incident with Choi. I call Jin after that, but he doesn't pick up either.

"TAYLOR!!"

I look away from my phone to find none other than Jackson Wang, barreling towards me with a panicked expression.

Some of you may have been concerned by the title, but don't worry~ For those who don't know, 'Even If I Die, It's You' is the title of the Hwarang Theme song, sung by Jin and Taehyung.

I felt it was a fitting title since Minho made a special appearance today. There will be more of SHINee to come, as well as a couple other groups you know and love, so stay tuned!
