Chapter 16: Worry

Namjoon's POV-

"I'm sorry it took so long to get home!" I say as I burst through our front door. When I got the call from Jimin about what happened, I was just barely walking into the BigHit building so I could meet with Manager Sejin.

I nearly had a panic attack myself.

"How is she doing?" I ask as I set my stuff down by the door. The others are all gathered in the living room, worried expressions clouding their faces.

"She passed out just after I called," Jimin explained, gesturing for me to come over. "Jin already called Manager Jiho, who made sure to clear Taylor's schedule so she can rest after she wakes up."

Taylor's body trembles as she sleeps, sweat glistening from her skin. She's dressed in a sports bra and shorts, so I assume one of the others changed her attire when they got back. Probably Jin or Yoongi if I were to guess.

"We figured she might get better sooner with you around," Hoseok says, resting a hand on my shoulder. "I know I can't afford to take the day off, as much as I want to. I have to meet with the choreographer about some new dance moves."

"Of course Hobi, don't worry," I respond with a sad smile, gently pushing back a strand of her hair. "You guys head on back, I don't mind staying at all. I'm sure Manager Sejin will understand. But Jimin, before you go could you bring me up to speed with anything I missed?"

The mochi nods as the others stand and head out, even Jungkook who had been hiding behind Jin the entire time. Jimin gives me a rundown of what happened, explaining the gift she was given and the attitudes of the staff.

"Well, the interviewer most likely had no idea," I reply with a breath of relief. "But it was probably one of the other staff. I'll ask someone to look into it to figure out who delivered it to the building."

"What are we supposed to do then?" Jimin says with furrowed brows. "We can't just ignore the message either, I mean, what if Choi..."

"Choi shouldn't be an issue, Jimin-ssi. We should consider this the work of a saesang, her tattoo wasn't exactly known but it wasn't a secret either. I'm just thankful that you tagged along, who knows what would have happened if she was on her own."

Jimin slowly nods in response, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, that's all then. I'll probably spend the day in the dance studio, and won't be back until late."

"Again? Are you sure?" I ask with a concerned expression.

The past couple days he's been resting more, but after the events with Choi unfolded he had decided to spend all his time in the dance room. Sometimes him and Hobi would be there together, but he would go on for hours into the night. Taylor once found him passed out in there when she went back to grab something she left behind.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Take care of our rose while we're gone," he says. With one last glance at the woman, Jimin sighs and heads out while locking the door behind him.

A few hours pass by slowly, after calling Manager Sejin I was able to get my schedule cleared for the day to take care of her. I spent my time scrolling through comments on some of our posts, smiling at the nice messages the fans left for us.

-->J-Hope's part gave me so many chills.. now if you'll excuse me I'm going to return to my life as a cozy burrito while jamming to the new album

I hear a bit of shifting beside me, and I look over to see Taylor slowly opening her eyes. "Tajang, you're awake!" I say, setting my phone to the side while taking a seat beside her. "How are you feeling..?"

"My head hurts like hell, but otherwise I'm fine.." she responds, but her voice says otherwise. I can hear the exhaustion in her tone, and her hands are still shaking even though it's been so long since the interview. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you all."

"Sweetheart, it's our job to worry. We'd worry if this happened to Taehyung, or Yoongi or whoever else we cared about." I reach over to brush a strand of hair from her face again, her skin is cold from the panicked slumber she was in.

"I know... I just feel so guilty when this happens.." she admits, flinching away from my hand. I blink a couple times in surprise, but the woman gives me an apologetic smile in return. "Sorry, I'm just all gross and stuff so.. if you don't mind, I'm going to head upstairs and shower."

I nod in understanding, standing up and popping my neck. The woman stands with me, making sure not to do so too fast, and heads to the stairs with a light sigh. I wait a few before following, just in case something else happens.

She was shaking so much earlier, I think to myself. I don't want her to risk falling or something too.

Thankfully I have nothing to worry about, and she meets up with me in our studio a little while later. She chose to wear a pair of white sweatpants and a light blue hoodie that says 'Winter Blossom' in a cherry blossom print.

"Do you have anything to do then?" she asks as she takes a seat in one of the beanbag chairs, drying her damp hair with a towel.

"Not really," I respond. "I was going to take some extra time to write some lyrics, but my head has been killing me lately."

"Have you been getting enough sleep?"

I wince a bit at the question, before shaking my head. "Not really, no. There's just a lot to get done, and my mind just doesn't want to shut off."

"Well, I did some research on some foods that can help improve sleep a little while ago," she says as I sit beside her on the floor. "Maybe I can make something for you to have before bed? I personally have been eating tart cherries before going to sleep, but I don't know how you feel about those."

"I don't think I've had them," I admit, wrapping an arm around her waist. "But I'll happily try anything you make for me."

A light pink blush covers her face as she rests her head against my shoulder. "I don't want to make something you don't like... Heck, I don't even know what food you dislike."

"Really?" I ask in surprise. "I never mentioned it?"

Taylor shakes her head a little, so I continue. "Well, okay then. I don't really like seafood, I'd feel pretty bad if I ate any. Mint ice cream is disgusting, combining delicious chocolate with toothpaste flavoring is like, sacrilegious."

The female maknae bursts into laughter at this, burying her face in my chest. I shift a little so it's more comfortable for her, her body shaking a bit as she laughs at my food choices. "You and I live in two different worlds then if you think mint chip ice cream is nasty," she admits, causing me to grimace.

"It's a sin against mankind!" I argue, causing her to howl and nearly fall over.

"Then I guess I'm a filthy sinner, because I will eat that shit by the POUNDS!"

"Just don't kiss me after you do," I reply with a smile, pressing my lips against her cheek.

"Or what?" she replies, looking up at me with a smug grin on her face. "I'm not scared of you, mister."

"Not yet you aren't." She squeals as I wrap my arms around her and flip us so she's underneath me. "But I'm sure I could change your mind.."

"Promise?" she says with a laugh, causing me to roll my eyes and start peppering her face with kisses. I hear her giggle and squeal as I start tickling her sides, only stopping when she's breathing so hard she might actually pass out.

"You're a little shit," I say, knowing Jin isn't here to scold me on my language.

"Ahhh but I'm your little shit," she replies in exhaustion, reaching up to cup my cheeks. "Oh, if you aren't busy then, can we do something together?"

"What did you have in mind, Jagiya?"

"Well, the boys told me you're really good at chess," she says with a smile. "I was wondering if you'd like to play a few games with me?"

I let out a chuckle as I place a light kiss on her lips. "Of course, love. But I'm warning you now, I won't be going easy on you."

We spent the next few hours doing so, and as we played and I kicked her butt time and time again, I could slowly see the tension leave from her shoulders. It made me feel a bit happier knowing that something as simple as a game of chess could help ease her worries, if only for a little while.

This chapter surprisingly didn't take too terribly long to write. Then again I wasn't really counting the hours xD
