Chapter 15: How Fucked Up Can I Be?
I'm so sick of these dressy outfits, I think to myself as I pull lightly on my skirt. They had put me in a grey sweater with a blue plaid skirt, along with matching grey boots that are coated with a white fur trim. It looks cozy, but still too girly for my taste.
Jimin gives me a bright smile as I walk over to where he's seated. He'll be behind the camera crew and everything just in case something happens. Manager Jiho was thankful he decided to come along, especially because she had a family emergency to tend to so she couldn't be here personally.
"I don't know how I feel about this outfit," he says while I take my seat beside him. I raise a brow in confusion, but Jimin merely giggles in response before wrapping his arms around my waist. "You look so lovely it makes me want to just steal you away! Just lay in bed all day and cuddle with you."
I can feel a blush creep up on my cheeks as I rest my head on his shoulder, and the mochi slowly pulls me into his lap. "We have to keep working hard for ARMY," I answer with a smile. "Even though I know a lot of them would want to us to take a break. I think they worry the most about us, more than we do ourselves."
Jimin lets out a small sigh, running his hand along my arm in a comforting manner. "I know. I hate worrying ARMY, they're everything to us you know? Maybe sometime we should do another live while going out for food or something, so they know we're still allowing ourselves to relax."
"That's not a good idea. There are still saesangs that might try to figure out where we're at and bombard us."
"Fair point. Maybe before going out then, so they only get to see our studio."
"You just want an excuse to go out, don't you?"
"Maybe?"
I lightly hit his chest while stifling a laugh, earning a chuckle from the older male. "You know our schedules are jam packed. But maybe we can plan something for after the concerts, m'kay?"
"It's a date!" Jimin purrs as he burrows his face into my neck, causing me to giggle from the ticklish feeling.
"Jangmi, we're ready for you," one of the crew says as he walks in on us. The mochi pouts as I stand up, but doesn't let me leave without placing a small peck on my lips.
"You'll do great, I'm sure."
Jimin's POV-
Taylor nervously looks down at her hands, seated in a chair before the interviewer. The show is not one I'm familiar with, nor the name of the interviewer so I have my doubts. "Today we have a very special guest, Jangmi from BTS!"
Our rose gives a wave to the camera, a forced smile on her face. I know she's pretty uncomfortable right now, so I'm glad I asked to come along. I give her a thumbs up when I see her gaze shift to me, and her shoulders become a little less tense as a result.
"It means a lot that you could take the time out of your busy schedule to come out today," he says, brushing a piece of his black hair back a bit. He has this smug smile on his face for god knows what reason. "How have you been doing?"
"Ah.. w-well I've been doing much better as of late, thanks to the wonderful men by my side," she says, looking off towards me once more. I can feel my face turn a light pink at her compliment, but I notice she's also wringing her hands together as she speaks.
She looks like she wants to be anywhere else, I think to myself, feeling the nervous energy practically radiating from her. "Of course, your story is widely known among your fans, some say you're living a life straight out of a fanfiction!"
"Anyways, we actually prepared a little gift for you today. I'm sure you get a lot of fan gifts already though."
"Oh, I don't mind at all!" She says as they hands her a wrapped package, about the size of a handheld white board. "I keep as many fan gifts as I can, they're all over my room and everything. It started driving J-hope nuts with all the fox plushes laying around."
I frown a little as she starts to open it carefully as she usually does. If she refused to open the gift it would look pretty bad, but I can't help feeling a bit protective over her. Then again, they wouldn't risk giving her something that would actually hurt her.
Would they?
My thoughts were interrupted by a startled gasp, and the immense feeling of panic bombards me in a single wave. The opened gift falls to the floor as Taylor wraps her arms around herself, her eyes wide and dilated with fear.
"What's wrong- wait, that's not ours!" The interviewer says in surprise as I rush forward towards my soulmate. "Where's the real one?"
I ignore him as tears begin to stream down our rose's face, being extra careful not to touch her as she delves into a panic attack. "Sweetheart, it's okay! I'm right here, your oppa is right here!" I say, her eyes darting back and forth.
"C-Choi is... she is.." She tries to speak through her terrified breathing. I look down at the gift that had fallen, my stomach reeling at the sight.
A black and white painting of Choi's tattoo, the ink dripping down to the bottom of the canvas. A phrase had been written in red paint, as if someone had taken it straight out of a horror movie.
'Miss me, Tajang? I already know the answer, you've always been so sweet to me.'
'Don't worry, we'll see each other again soon enough.'
'XOXO, Choi Chung-Ae.'
You thought that was the last of our favorite psycho? Not at all, my little rosebuds. I love her a little too much to just put her away for good! Plus, who doesn't love a good psychotic bitch to terrorize the main protagonist?
If Taylor were real, I would be SO dead right now. Good thing she isn't!
Right?
