Mihir's POV

" Tami, tell us beta! " Uncle insisted gently.

" D... don't know. I didn't get the chance to see them as I got scared and panicked. I needed to bring him here as no one else was at home. " She said and started sobbing.

She was lying. But thank God! She didn't tell anyone.

" It's okay Beta, that was more important, if you had not brought him here in time, anything could have happened. His condition was very bad at that time, even Vikram was very tense to see his condition. We could see that it was something massive. " Her dad said.

Oh, shit!!

Almost one hour was over, and nurses moved in and out of the emergency room, their expressions grave but professional. Every time the door swung open, I held my breath, hoping for good news. Finally, Vikram uncle came out and we all rushed to him, his face a mask of calm reassurance.

" Mihir, Your dad is out of danger for now," he said. "The next 24 hours are critical, we'll do everything we can and he'll be fine. Thank God Tami was there and got him here in time, if only she had been only five minutes late, anything could have happened. Just don't give him any more stress or he will not be able to take it. " He said.

Relief washed over me, but I knew the road ahead would be long and arduous. I thanked him, my voice barely more than a whisper. The weight of the day's events was taking its toll, but I couldn't afford to rest just yet.

Mahi and Tami both were getting very emotional by now. Ron hugged Mahi and tried to calm her down and Tami's dad hugged her.

They had shifted Dad to the room and  Vihan led everyone to the room where my father lay, hooked up to various machines that beeped and whirred. I stood by his side, taking his hand in the mine. His skin was cool, his face pale, but he was alive. Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized how close I had come to losing him.

“I’m here, Dad,” I whispered, my voice choked with emotion. “I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere." Gautam uncle placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

I turned and hugged him. He patted me like my dad would have.

" Be strong, my boy. He will be fine. But you must keep him stress-free. Just find out what bothered him so much to cause such a massive heart attack. " He said and I could just nod.

I was feeling very guilty but could not say anything at the moment.

Vihan asked everyone to go out as everyone was there. Being a doctor, I knew that he was right. So I asked Rahul uncle and Gautam uncle to go as I was here now. Mahi wanted to stay there but Ron told her to come home as she could not take so much stress.

" What does that mean, what happened to you?? " I asked Mahi but she didn't say anything.

" Ron?? What happened to her?? " I asked.

" We got to know a few hours back that she is pregnant. We were planning to come to Shah Mansion tonight to share the news with all of you."  Ron said with a faint smile. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that and looked at my baby sister.

She was going to be a Mom??

Wow!! I rushed to her and hugged her.

" Congratulations!! I am very happy for both of you. " I said with a genuine smile.

" But Bhai... Dad... " She said and burst into fresh tears again. I patted her back and asked her to calm down.

" He will be fine. He has to be fine when Vikram uncle is treating him." I assured her holding her in my arms.

" Bhai, Please don't let anything happen to Dad. " She said.

" Don't worry. Go home. We are here, we all are praying for him. See all his friends are here, they will not let anything wrong happen to him. Calm down, you need rest. Ron, please take her home. " I said.

" If you need me for anything, please don't hesitate to ask anything. And please keep us posted. We will come again in the evening. " Ron said. I nodded.

She refused to go but somehow Maurvi Aunty convinced her and sent her back with Kapoors.
