" Why don't I give a treat to both of you right away? " Shaurya asked raising an eyebrow.

" No, thanks. We need to go, our parents are waiting, " I said glaring at him. And he nodded with a smile.

I held her hand and took her to my car and as soon as she got in it, I drove to her place and Gautam's uncle was waiting for us as soon as I stopped my car there he walked out and hugged his daughter and then me. He asked me to come in but I told him that I had a meeting.

Tami went in and Uncle asked me, when would I join the hospital back. I hesitated for a few seconds and said, "Sir, I think, it is better if I join my family business now. I need to fulfill a clause to get my share according to Dadaji's will. Moreover, it will be a bit awkward for me and your daughter to work there at the hospital. So I guess, I should resign. "

" I can understand, it can be a bit awkward, but I don't want the hospital to lose such a brilliant Neurosurgeon, just because of that awkwardness. Mihir, the hospital is so big, that you can easily avoid each other. And anyway, you can't avoid each other for the rest of your lives, you have been very good friends since childhood. I came to the office and saw Mom in Dad's cabin.

" Mom?? You here? "

" Why can't your mom come here to meet your dad? We are not as boring as you are. We are planning to throw a party for her excellent performance in her exam. Any suggestions? "  Dad asked.

Why do you need to do it??

" Dad, it's okay, she will give a treat to her friends. We don't need to throw a big party. Things will get awkward if Malhotras come and it will be awkward if we don't invite them. " I said what was in my mind.

" Mom said.
