Tami's POV

" Where are you going? What will I tell Mom or your family if they call? " He asked again getting annoyed now.

" Why would my family call you to ask me where I was, when they can call me directly? I am going to meet my friends. "  I just shrugged.

" Who are your friends? "  He asked with a raised eyebrow.

How does it matter to you?

" Why are you taking so much interest in me all of a sudden? Don't worry, I don't have any hidden boyfriends. Or I would not have married you. Right?? "

" Tami... "

" Oh yes, of course, I would have married you even if I loved someone else, as you belong to the richest family in the country. Well keep thinking what you want, I just don't want to be alone with you."  I said, going downstairs.

"  Tami, where are you going? " He was still following me.

" Don't pretend that you care, It doesn't suit you at least in my case. "  I replied.

" You are my responsibility till you are here. " He said.

" No, I don't give you that right over me, my family is there to take care of me. And I am also old enough to take care of myself. "  I said going towards the main gate.

" Where are you going like that, take a car at least... " In two strides he came in front of me.

" I don't want a single rupee from you and I don't need your damn car or anything else from you, I just have this mangal sutra and I will return it to you as well. Don't worry about how I will manage without your car, I will ask Dad to send my car here. " I replied without looking at him.

" Are you out of your mind?? How can you get your car from there? We have plenty of them here in the garage." He raised his voice.

" But they belong to you,  I don't want anything that's yours including your name and surname that is attached to mine for the time being. " I  was about to go out but he held my hand and just then the main gate opened and a car drove in. Mom was driving it.  She saw us standing there and stopped the car.

"  What are both of you doing here?? " She asked with a smile as she imagined something else when she saw him holding my arm.

"  Nothing Mom! She wanted to go out and I asked her to take the car but she was adamant about taking a cab or getting her car from her home. " He said before I could say anything.

" What?? That's not done!! She will neither take a cab nor will she get a car from there." Mom said.

"  See, I told you. "  He gave me a sarcastic winning smile.

" But why was she going out alone?? Were you such a boring company to her that she thought of going out alone? Go, take her out for some outing. " Mom asked.

" No, Mom, it's okay, now that you are home, I don't need to go out. " I said.

" Rubbish, go out and enjoy... Get to know each other. " She said with a smile.

" Some other day, Mom. We went out in the morning. "  I said.

" Yeah, where did both of you go?? We were really happy to see you going out especially Mehul was extremely happy. Where did you go? " Mom asked.

" Er ... " I didn't know what to say.

" I took her to meet a friend, he could not come for the wedding so I took her to meet him. "

" But you should have called him here at home. She is your newlywed wife. You should go somewhere nice, cozy romantic. "  Mom said.

" Mom, you must go somewhere like this with Dad. Leave me out of it. " Mihir said making a face.

" Yes, Mom he is right, you and Dad must go somewhere. As it is I don't think he has a romantic bone or even a cell in his body. " I said looking at him with sarcasm.

" Oh, my God!! Now that is a serious allegation. Mihir, you must show her that you are romantic. " Mom said with a smile.

" I don't want to prove anything to anyone. " He turned to go but Mom said that we all must go out for dinner.

" Tami Beta, go and get ready, wear something nice. "  She said and winked at me.

" Mom, let's have a quiet dinner at home, please, I will cook for you, you can relax and just tell me what would you like to have.

" No, we will go out. Go get ready. Mihir, I need to talk to you. "  Mom said and I went to get ready.
