Third person's POV

As Tami settled into her new surroundings, a sense of hesitation crept over her. She knew that her wedding night would not be an easy one, as Mihir was still grappling with the pain and betrayal of Gaurvi's elopement. She could sense his anger and hurt.

She knew that their journey together would be fraught with challenges and obstacles, but she was determined to stand by his side through it all. With a silent prayer in her heart, she braced herself for the difficult conversations and heartfelt emotions that lay ahead, knowing that their love would ultimately prevail.

As Mihir stepped into the elegantly decorated room, his heart weighed heavy with resentment and anger. The sight before him once meant to be a sanctuary for love and intimacy, now served as a painful reminder of the betrayal he had endured. Every flickering candle and every fragrant flower seemed to mock him, a cruel reminder of the love he had lost.

His eyes fell upon the figure standing by the window, draped in a beautiful wedding dress.

He recalled how his heart skipped a beat or two when he saw his bride coming towards him for Jaimala with a veil that obscured her features. But the next very moment his heart clenched, knowing that behind that veil was not the woman he had loved, but her younger sister, Tami.

Now she was standing in his room Anger simmered beneath the surface as he approached her, his footsteps heavy with the weight of his emotions.

She turned to look at him as soon as she felt that he had come in. Her heart was beating very fast.

" So, you finally got what you want... You must be very happy that your wish is granted right? No!! You are absolutely wrong. Well, congratulations on your small victory, Tami. Oh, I am sorry, its Mrs Gautami Mihir Shah. But don't ever think that you got whatever you wanted. The only thing you got is my name attached to yours. " He said curtly, his voice laced with bitterness.

"We may be married in the eyes of the world, but make no mistake—I will never consider you my wife." He said.

Tami's heart sank at his words, the sting of rejection piercing through her like a dagger. She had known that winning Mihir's love would be an uphill battle, but his cold dismissal cut deeper than she had anticipated. He was angry before the wedding as well, but she thought that his anger would ease out a bit with time when things would finally sink in.

" Mihir, how do I make you believe that I never said anything to Gaurvi? "  She said desperately.

" Then how did we come to know about them? Hunh??  Anyway, nothing you say or do is going to change anything. I hate you. " He said.

" I didn't manipulate anything. She met him in Bengaluru and fell for him, what is anything to do with me in this?" She said.

" You must be God's favorite child that he granted your wish declining mine. I have been in love with her for so many years. You... Spoilt everything. " He was very angry.

"  You are being absolutely unreasonable, Mihir. I have not done anything. I never wished for any of this to happen. " she said.

" Shut up!! You got what you wanted. But now that's it. I will never treat you as my wife. You are no one to me. Don't you dare to even dream about having any relationship with me as that will never happen. You spoilt everything. My life, my happiness... everything. I will make sure that your life is ruined, Don't expect anything from me. You are no one to me. Absolutely no one! Got it?? Do whatever you want but just stay away from my life. " He declared, her heart became very heavy with pain.

" I understand," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I will do as you want me to do. "

With a heavy heart, Tami removed her jewelry, the weight of each piece a painful reminder of the gulf that separated her from the man she longed to love. She longed to retreat into the safety of her own thoughts, to escape the suffocating atmosphere of tension and resentment that hung between them.

As she reached for a night dress from her suitcase, her fingers brushed against the delicate fabric of a dress that Gaurvi had bought before going on the  Bengaluru trip, and their mom had packed the bag for her sister. A pang of guilt washed over her as she took it out but then she realised that she had no reason to feel guilty about it. She didn't want to marry him like this but had to do it to salvage their reputation in the wake of Gaurvi's betrayal.
