Mihir's POV

" Bhai, don't expect Tami to break her relationship with her sister or I will choose her and Ron over you. He is right, Manik bhai did the same thing and we supported him. Don't expect Tami to do what we didn't. She thinks her sister is better off with Shlok as she loves him and is pregnant with his child. How can you still want Gaurvi?? You have hurt Tami. Let me go and find her. "

" I don't want Gaurvi, I don't want anything to do with her, I just want to avoid her. Is that a big issue? "

" Yes it is, she is not just your ex, she is your sister-in-law as well, Mihir. How can you expect Gautam uncle to choose one of his daughters or avoid Gaurvi, just because you are not comfortable around her?  How can you expect Tami to forget the relationship she had shared with her elder sister? Well, the bottom line is that I support Shlok and Gaurvi, now break your relationship with me if you can but mind it, your sister will also break her relationship with you. " Ron said to me seriously.

" Ron, first of all, I was about to apologize to her but she got very angry and said that she would sign the papers. I was annoyed but didn't want her to break all ties with her sister, just didn't like watching them enjoying the company of each other as if nothing had happened.  And you can't threaten me like that, it is not the same thing. "

" Are you going to stop her from enjoying or having a normal relationship with her sister and her husband? "

" No! And it is not because you threatened me, it's because I understand that she is her sister, I will never leave my parents and siblings for anyone. "

" Great! Mihir, Gaurvi is getting on with her life, you must also do it. Tami is a very nice girl and she loves you. Claim your right over her before someone else finds out about her and takes her away from you. You might not be so lucky to find such a girl next time. I hope you know what I am saying." Ron said. I nodded.

" Go to your dad's room, Mahi and I will go and talk to her to calm her down. " Ron said.

I headed back to Dad's room, hoping to find Tami there.

But When I walked in, I saw that Mom already was sitting by Dad’s bedside, holding his hand. They both looked up as I entered.

I was happy to see that Mom came back to Delhi and Dad was going to be discharged from the hospital. I rushed to hug her but she asked me to sit down.

" What is it, mom? "

" Mihir, I hope you remember you promised Tami's parents that you would take good care of her and treat her with the love and respect that she deserves... "

" Yes. " I said avoiding looking at any of them.

" Then why did you send the divorce papers to her?? Is that the way to treat a girl, who is so sweet and selfless?? How can you behave like this?? Listen to one thing, I really love you, but I will never forgive you if you dare to divorce her. Consider me dead for you if you don't treat her well. She is your wife and is entitled to have every right she has as your wife. So treat her like your wife, or I will cut all ties with you. Don't take my words lightly. You have been living like strangers, now I want you to make some progress in your relationship. " Mom said.

" Mihir, about 28 years ago, I was more or less in a similar situation. I hated Megha because my parents forced her on me. But you know how much I love her now. "  Dad said.

" We were strangers to each other, met only occasionally as children. While you both know each other, she loves you. How can you spoil your life for someone who doesn't love you and ignore the true love that you have in your life? Change your ways, or we will not forgive you. "  Mom said. I nodded.

" Book a honeymoon trip and take her abroad. " Mom said.

" But she just joined the internship. "

" It's her dad's hospital. I will talk to Gautam and Vikram. " Dad said.

" But Dad, it's not fair. She should not take undue advantage of her being the daughter of one of the owners. I argued.

" So why did you take the undue advantage of being the son-in-law of one of the owners? " Mom asked sharply

" When did I do that? "

" Were you not supposed to give a three-month notice at the hospital before leaving the job?? Gautam and Vikram let you go without any issue because of your relationship with Tami. " Mom replied.

" Mom, please can we discuss all this later?? "

" When?? After she signs the papers?? After our relationship with her parents is ruined? " She asked. I was already upset with everything. So I kept listening to her

After about 10 minutes, Ron and Mahi came to Dad's room. Mahi was happy to see Mom, she hugged both of them while Ron touched their feet. Dad beamed to see them.

" Wow!! How is my princess now? " Dad asked Mahi

" Dad, I am fine, how are you? "

" Good!! Waiting for Gautam and Vikram to allow me to go home, thank God your mom is back today. I was missing her. Now finally, I can go home. "  Dad said looking lovingly at Mom.

" That's great!! " Mahi said and hugged Dad. Just then Tami walked in, she looked very serious and a bit hurt but as soon as she saw Mom and Dad, she smiled and greeted them. She was smiling at all of them but didn't even look at me.

" Tami, I need to talk to you. "  I went near her and whispered.

" Later on, please. " She said without looking at me.

" Come with me. "

" No, I have already said what was to be said. " 

" Your dad is looking for you, come with me. " I said and pulled her hand to go out. 

" Hey!! Tell Gautam to come here, she has just come to meet me and since Mahi and Ron are also here, let them enjoy. It is good to see your family enjoying together. " Dad said.

" Yes, Dad is right, please let me enjoy some time with them, I just happened to meet my dad a few minutes back. " She said taking out the khakhras she had cooked for Dad and Mohanthal which she had packed for me earlier and served to Mahi and Ron.
