Chapter 4- Winged Freak
Chapter 4- Winged Freak
-Angel's PoV-
"Why...you could of never known. Then maybe....maybe I..." She bit her lip, "Forget it. I guess you don't want to be around a freak. All because of these stupid wings, they ruin my whole life." She said coldly to herself and she managed to stand again.
I didn't even know what to say, I mean, already she was hated on because she was a human in a Pokemon village. But, this was bizarre.
~Wait!~ I called out without thinking ~I don't mind them! Your the first human I've ever encountered. Most pokemon that live around here already hate humans.~
Hope turned to look at her with a questionable expression that I couldn't recognize.
"But I'm not even human? As far as I know, I'm only mostly human," She said as she attempted to spread her wings, but only to find that they were being bound to her by her scarlet-covered nightgown.
I noticed this and shook my mane-like fur out and padded closer to her, ~Let me help you with that...~ I said as she pulled the cloth away from her skin and toward my horn. My horn gave off a white aura as I gently cut away some of the cloth, not very neatly, but wide enough for her wings to fit through.
I stepped back, happy with my messy, yet thoughtful, work. Hope wiggled her shoulders and shuffled her wings into the torn away spots. Tiger and I jumped a little as she snapped her wings open, scattering loose feathers everywhere. She sighed in relief.
"That feels so much better..."
I raised my head as curiosity took over as I examined her wings. She had about a ten foot wing span and her feathers looked brown and tan colored. Of course, they were very dirty, so it was hard to tell.
~So...can you actually....fly?~ Tiger asked with excitement rising in his voice.
Hope gave him a strange look, "Kinda, they couldn't really teach me all that well."
~Who taught you?~ I asked.
"The people in the white coats." She said as she got distracted by a leaf that fluttered past the window.
Angel looked at Hope and decided to change the subject. She remembered that Hope was still not welcome here, but maybe....maybe she could stay.
~Alright. Let's go~ I finally answered. Hope looked as if she wanted to ask where again, but a look from me made her stay quiet.
As we finally set out, we began walking to the center of the town. I noticed Hope seemed upset and disappointed as Pokemon constantly hid and ran as they walked past. I sighed but decided not to say anything.
At last, we made it to where our leaders stay. The three massive deer-like Pokemon was discussing something as they arrived. Verizion noticed them first. She glanced at Hope uncertainly and alerted her brothers. Cobalian, though I knew he was probably upset I brought her through town, stayed calm and called out to us, ~Angel, Tiger? Why have you brought the human here?~
I stepped forward and rose my head, ~I believe the human should have a chance to stay~
His face began to show hints of anger but I continued,~ This child is different then from the stories you tell us, and I have the right to believe that her home is no longer safe for her~
~Why do you care so much for this child? As soon as it grows up it will try to turn you into its slave.~
I noticed Hope wince at his response, making me go on,~ But sir! She is no normal human! She's different!~
I could tell Hope disliked me saying she was different but as far as I knew, it's true. She was completely different from the tales that circumvented the village.
"It's true sir.." Hope responded to help.
He seemed slightly shocked by the girl actually responding to him but it quickly turned to a subtle anger.
~Don't get cocky human! Just because you can speak pokelanguage doesn't mean you can stay. I know there are humans who can. They aren't any different! If anything they are worse!~
Hope cringed at Cobalion sudden outburst.
Verizon stepped forward and nuzzles her brother, ~Hey now, calm down brother... We wouldn't want you to lose it right now~
Cobalion sighed and nodded in agreement,~ I want the human out now~
I growled a little and turned to Hope.
~Show him~
Hope seemed a little uneasy but unfolded her hidden wings to its full extent.
The legendary trio gasped and stared at the small girl in awe.
~W-what in Arceus's name?!~ Terrikon yelped.

I thought this was dead...
I thought I was done...
I even cancelled it...
But I regretted it as soon as it was official.
And so... I'm possibly not cancelling? I unpublished Boundaries Crossed cause I feel like it's not ready yet. So I'm going to keep going with Wings of Hope for a test drive.
No planning.
No time goals.
Just write when I want, if I want.
I'm going to try not to concern myself with the plot as much and not really consider quality as much as it makes me not want to write. Whale...
Here's a chapter.
Sorry guys it took so long. So long little eevees!~
