Chapter 1: Freezing Chaos

Hello!

Yall excited?

I am!

Get ready!!

(Yell at me if I spelt something wrong-)

TW: Almost freezing to death, getting knocked out, blood. (This is a good start. Very good.)

Third Person POV

He flew above a beach in Pyrrhia, clutching a piece of paper in his talons.

The air felt as cold as ice, each breath hurting as he breathed in the cold air. He looked back, seeing the Icewing that was chasing him.

His shoulder hurt, the fresh blood that was slowly dripping down now fully frozen.

His tail kept twitching, like he wanted to stab the Icewing, but he kept it curled in. He had to keep flying. He didn't know why, just he had to.

He knew had to get out of there before he froze to death, his breath coming in sharp gasps as he fought to get away.

He flapped his wings harder, fighting to stay out of range of the Icewing's talons, even though he knew that the Icewing has frostbreath.

He kept on flying. He was close to the territory he called home, but right as the air started getting warmer, he heard the Icewing inhale.

Then all he felt was searing cold. He could feel his legs being frozen as he screamed.

As the frozen air touched his neck, he beat his wings harder, even though he knew he wouldn't be able to get to his territory in time.

His wings started frosting over, going stiff as the dragon froze.

He started to lose consciousness, the cold air starting to get to him. He was used to the dusty and warm air of the desert, not the freezing air of the arctic, and the frostbreath wasn't helping.

He desperately tried to get to his territory, the world going black as he fell towards the frozen sand of the in-between territories.

Someone's POV

*Timeskip ~ 2 or so hours*

He woke up, whole body aching horribly.

I thought frostbreath was fatal... He thought, opening his eyes slowly. I never thought that it would only knock dragons out... Thinking of getting knocked out, where am I?

He looked around, his eyes adjusting to the bright sunlight.

He looked up to see a emerald-green cyborg dragon wearing a lab coat and holding a spear. He didn't seem to be from any tribe he has ever seen, though he could see some similarities with Rainwings, a colorful tribe of the Rainforest.

The weird dragon looked at him, noticing he was awake, and pointed the spear to his neck.

"M, please stop that."

He turned his head to see another green dragon, though this one had a helmet on and his scales were considerably lighter than the cyborg's. His purple vizor shined in the sunlight as he looked at the dragon with the spear.

The cyborg, apparently called M, dropped his spear. It made a slight clang when it hit the ground.

M muttered something about protecting dragons and evil, from what it sounded like.

I have never heard a dragon being called M... Strange name-

"M, he isn't evil. And anyway, you don't need to protect us. In the worst case, Yellowjacket can help fight him. You don't need to take all the responsibility of protecting us." The green dragon with the helmet said.

"Who- Who are you?" He stammered, wanting to smack himself for stammering. It's not like he was nervous or anything! Totally not!

"Name's Void." He answered. "What is yours?" He asked, even though it sounded more like a command.

Could just be his way of speaking... He thought before answering.

"It's Grain, though I prefer Sun or Ray. That's my nickname." He smiled slightly, getting reminded of his friends.

I hope I'll see them again... Especially Pride...

Pride. His best friend. The one he could talk to about anything. The one who's smile always made him smile. He always seemed to light up the room whenever he made one of his jokes. He remembered the time Pride fell into some quicksand. He had helped him out of it, and it became a running joke for years.

"Something on your mind, Ray?" Void asked, smiling.

I didn't expect him to use my nickname...

"Just a friend." He answered.

"Just a question, Sun. What tribe are you in? Your name is Grain, so I am guessing Baguetteclaws. You look like one." Grain turned his head to see a dragon lying in the river behind him, his sea-blue scales shimmering with droplets of water and he was slightly glowing.

"No. I'm a Sandw-" Grain cut himself off. " Did you say Baguetteclaws? Isn't it Baguettewings? He stuttered, confused.

Claws? I thought it was Wings! He thought to himself.

"Its 'Claws' here. Now please get off my foot. I have been trapped for a while now." The slime-like dragon mumbled.

He stood up, freeing the dragon. He looked at the clawless talon as the slime-like dragon pulled it back into the water.

"Anyways, where are you from?" Void asked.

"Pyrrhia." Grain answered.

Why did he ask me that? Surely he knows Sandwings, or Sandclaws as they call them, live in Pyrrhia! He looked at Void with a puzzled expression.

"Oh." Void's expression went from questioning to solemn, his eyes darkening. "Really."

"Why? Is it bad that I come from Pyrrhia?" Grain asked Void.

"The Pyrrhians. They kidnapped four of us." The slime-like dragon answered for Void as Void looked away. "One of them was my best friend, Wave."

"Oh. I- I'm sorry to hear that." Grain said. He knew how Void felt. He's experienced it before. "What tribe kidnapped them?"

"A dragon as dark and starry as the night." M answered, anger thick in his voice. (Yeah M needs to talk so I edited who said that lol)

Nightwings. Of course, its them. They always try to destroy the peace...

"They also took Garnet, Phoenix and Phantom. The Pyrrhians are our enemies." A yellow dragon with red and black stripes jumped out of a tree, the swords and spears clanking as she jumped. "Phoenix was a good friend." Her eyes dimmed, seeming sad when she said the names. "My name is Yellowjacket, though everyone calls me Jacket. Nice to meet you." She held out her talon and shook Grain's.

"Oh, Jellyfish! Can you tell me about those scars now?" Yellowjacket noticed the blue dragon.

"Not in the mood. I wouldn't tell you even if I was." Jellyfish answered coldly. "Now, if you don't mind, I will be going back to sleeping." He said before he vanished, swimming towards the ocean.

"Weirdo." Yellowjacket muttered under her breath. "Well, I am going to find Turtle now. See you later!" Yellowjacket jumped onto a tree, disappearing as she jumped tree-to-tree.

"They are both weirdos if you ask me." Grain got startled when M started speaking again.

"Were all weirdos, M. But trust me, you won't think that they are weird when you meet the others." Void said when I opened my mouth to speak.

"Wait... Others?" Grain asked, wanting to slap himself in the head for asking.

I should've known that there were others...

"Yep. But we should get you somewhere to live before we meet them." Void smiled.

Yeahhhh this is a mess. ITS SO SHORT- I feel like I could add way more to this, but I need more chapters because people are more interested in more chapters (well I am-) so I'll deal with this small chapter i guess.

I mean, I hit my goal of over 1000 words so I'll be happy for now.
