Dear Diary,

The most awful thing that could ever happen has happened. Diamond took Mother! And now, Mother is definitely dead. Darkstalker is so mad and he thinks it's Father's fault, but I don't think so. But Father's angry. I miss Mother so much. I wish that somehow I could bring her back. I've been thinking about her ever since she went missing. I even had a dream about her last night. It was the weirdest thing ever. Even weirder than me! I dreamt that Mother was still alive, but as a statue made of ice. And Diamond would come and kill her every day. It was horrible, but it was almost comforting. I think it's a sign that maybe death isn't the end. Maybe we become spirits. Who knows? I hope that one day I see Mother again. I know it's silly, but we can only hope.
