School . . .
THREE MOONS! How long did it take to explain a basic project?
Doom sighed, stifling a yawn as Webs droned on about who cared what. It was hard enough focusing on him when she was wide awake, let alone when she had barely slept, and even less so when she was shoved between an Icewing about as warm as a glacier and a bright green Rainwing who kept jabbing her in the side.
Finally she'd had enough! Doomsayer whirled around and shoved Boto a little harder than she'd meant to, knocking him into Ostrich. "Stop POKING me!" she yelled. Seriously, some dragons. She looked up at the now silent library, noticing the thousands (actually just 8) pairs of dragon eyes staring at her.
Oops . . . Well at least Webs finally shut up.
Boto grinned slyly at her, while Changbai looked mildly concerned, as if he wanted to intervene before the older Seawing did. Doom scowled at both of them, swallowing yet another yawn. She was so tired.
Walking just far enough to wedge herself between Thrush and Anemone, the only dragons who hadn't yet managed to annoy her, she sent a mental scowl down to the loneliest dragon in Pyrrhia. If you hadn't been moaning and griping all night.
Not my fault I'm stuck down here where you have to listen. Now if someone would free me. . .
I thought you sent your precious Moon to go and see to that.
A long silence, so long that Doom thought she might need to start actually listening to the dragons around her instead. Finally: I hope so.
