Prelude

The air was still and silent as a large egg lay nestled in the grass, its surface reflecting the soft silver light of the moon above. It was as though the egg was waiting for something, some kind of signal to begin its long-awaited transformation. Suddenly, a faint rustling sound could be heard from within the egg, and it began to shake ever so slightly.

Pecking noises echoed through the quiet night, and a tiny crack appeared on the egg's surface. It was a small crack at first, almost imperceptible, but it grew larger and larger with each passing moment. The little dragonet inside was determined to break free, and nothing could stop her. As the crack widened, a small hole appeared, and a curious little nose poked out, taking in the scents of the world for the very first time. With each breath, the dragonet's excitement grew, and she kept pecking away at the egg, making the hole larger and larger.

Then, with one final burst of energy, the dragonet broke free of the egg, and a whole new world unfolded around her. The grass was taller than she was, and the moon seemed brighter and more beautiful than ever before. The dragonet was filled with wonder and amazement, eager to explore this new world and discover all of its secrets.

She stood still, taking it all in as she watched the autumn leaves gracefully falling around her.

The smells, sounds, and colors were overwhelming. Her tail twitched as she listened to the birds chirping and chatting in the nearby tree. She looked around, poking her head under the shell she had broken out of.

"Mummy?" she whined softly.
