Chapter Five
Crimson and Nocturnal raced to where Sunny and Sandstone had landed. Sunny had some dented scales and scratches on her side. Her breathing was a little noisy too. Once in a while, she would cough.
Sandstone had some bruises on his face, but he seemed to be doing better. Right now, he was trying to explain what had happened at the Scorpion Den, while Tsunami was growling in anger. At one point, she let out her anger at a tree, and almost completely ripped it out of the ground, when Sunny walked over and started trying to calm her down.
What happened to them?, Crimson thought. Looks like they ran into the mountain. Or maby the mountain ran into them. That would be kind of creepy to see. Crimson tried to figure out what everyone was saying. Tsunami had finished yelling, but now she scowled and glared at anyone who dared to get to close to her. Sunny and Sandstone both wore matching expressions of concern.
Nocturnal was staring, his eyes never leaving the area of the conversation. It was obvious he was listening to the whole thing. He's probably seeing what they saw too. "Nocturnal?"
He turned his head a little bit, signalling that he was listening, but wasn't going to move from his position. "What are you seeing? You look like you just found a scavenger that can fly."
"I'm not sure," he said, a little bit of confusion in his voice. "I can see their experiences clearly, but I don't know what to make of it. They were attacked by dragons... sort of."
"What do you mean sort of?", Crimson asked, feeling as if Nocturnal was pausing, and being quiet, and keeping back information on purpose.
Nocturnal thought for a second, his head tilted. "They kind of seemed like Sandwings. But they were more like statues if you ask me. Maybe an animus?"
This had crossed Crimson's thoughts a few times. "I guess it could be, but why not just make a giant bomb, or an infinant sandstorm or something. It seems like it would be better to do something simpler."
Then, there was a loud flapping sound in the air. Looking up, Nocturnal and Crimson saw a deep red Skywing, with a few metallic silver scales. His eyes were a grey blue color. He was hovering above the trees, giving the ground a worried, like it might swallow him up.
Crimson could tell when Nocturnal started reading the strange Skywing's mind. His eyes widened and he quickly backed up a step. "Three moons that's a lot of thinking in one head! Ya, I'm blocking him off. Are we sure he's not gonna explode right now???"
Sunny looked up. "Come on guy, don't tell me you can't land!"
"As a matter of fact, I can't."
"Are you afraid of heights or something? Because if you are, that would be extremely hilarious." Sandstone laughed, but then yelped. "On second thought, don't make me laugh. It makes me neck hurt.
"I'm not afraid of heights," the Skywing said quietly. "I'm afraid of falling, which is completely different."
"Sorry buddy, I don't mean to be mean, but either you're going to land on the ground on your own, your going to stay up there until you pass out, and then fall, or I'm going to do this," Tsunami said.
The Skywing looked like he was about to ask her what she ment, when Tsunami leaped into the air, smacking him hard enough to nock him "softly" into a tree.
"Tsunami, how could you do that? He already has enough problems," Sunny said.
All the Seawing did was shrug. "Sorry, I'm in a sowur mood, and I needed someone to wack." She turned towards the tree, where the Skywing was awkwardly hanging upside down, trying to climb down.
"It's fine," he said plainly. "Worse could happen to me. Could you guys help me down carefully though?"
Tsunami, Nocturnal, and Crimson ran over to help him down. When he slowly planted all four of his feet on the ground, Nocturnal reached out to shake his hand. "Names Nocturnal. I'm a Rainwing and Nightwing mix."
The Skywing shook his hand. "Hello. I don't have a name, and apparently I'm a Skywing."
Tsunami gave him a confused look. "How can you not have a name? And what do you mean you're apparently a Skywing?"
Sunny walked over. "Our Skywing friend here has amnesia, and he can only remember his eye color, how to talk, how to breath, the simple stuff. He knows how to draw, read, and write." She gave the Skywing a strange look. "He also has some... Interesting thoughts about himself and the world. I'm not saying you're wrong, don't worry."
"Anything important we should know about?", Crimson asked.
The Skywing coughed and put one of his hands on the top of his head. "Would it be okay if I waited a little bit before questions are asked. I'd like to lie down for a little bit if that's okay."
Sunny ran towards the entrance into the school. "Oh ya, I almost forgot. Hey Tsunami, I'm gonna take him to see Starflight. I'm hoping he can help him with his memory loss." Then she grinned as the Skywing cautiously walked through the entrance. "Something tells me this guy is a lot like Starflight to. He kept talking about how he wanted to read everything about Pyrrhia." Then, she raced into the school with a wave goodbye.
Tsunami and Crimson turned to Nocturnal now. He turned around, checking to see if they were looking at something behind him.
"So?", Crimson asked. "What's that guy thinking? Is he mean, or happy, or dull? Is it true he can't remember stuff about himself?"
Nocturnal sighed. "Oh how I love how much I am needed by others." Then, his face turned more serious, and he frowned. "He seems to be telling the truth. Everything Sunny said about him he seems to believe. There's other stuff though. He has some very.......... Eccentric thoughts."
"I order you to tell me some specifics," Tsunami said. "I am royalty, and the best at being bossy, so you better spill the beans."
Nocturnal sighed again. "Fine fine... He believes that there's only supposed to be one moon, that he was originally a scavenger, and that scavengers should be called people or in some case humans." He looked at both the faces in front of him. They both stared blankly back at him. "Okay, I don't even need to read your minds to know how weird you think that is."
"What is this guy eating, because he sounds kind of like he's messed up in the head," Tsunami said.
Crimson nodded slightly. "Did he bump his head really hard or something?"
"You might not want to say that to him ever," Nocturnal said, frowning a little more. "This guy seems kind of... sensitive. He won't show his pain or his suffering on the outside. He just keeps it all locked away. Kind of seems unstable." There was a pause, and then he turned towards Tsunami. "To answer you question, he doesn't really eat much. About as much as a Sandwing. He's just scales and bones."
"Do you think Starflight can help him?", Crimson asked.
"Emotionally............ I guess it's possible. But physically, this guy is like a piece of paper flying through the wind. Do you know how many medical problems this guy has? He's got major migraines, a burning pain in his chest once in a while, he had a seizure, and sometimes he goes blind, deaf, or both. I'd be surprised if he wasn't hit in the head twice."
Crimson starred down the hallway into the school. "Do you think I should go and help? Starflight might need some information on Skywings."
Tsunami nodded. Probably should. I think I'll go get Frostfire and a few others. We need to prepare for a possible attack."
Crimson strided into the school, waving.
When she was gone, Tsunami grinned. "You eavesdropping yet?"
"One step ahead of you." Nocturnal chuckled. "I'll be hearing this whole conversation like it's happening right next to us."
"Let me get some of those fish real quick. Also you were a show off, and I'm forcing everyone to hunt for fish next time so we can make you look like a fool." She leaped into the air, her blue scales reflected the suns light.
At this, Nocturnal barked a laugh. "You can all try if you want. In the end, I shale have the last laugh!!!" He laughed mockingly for a few seconds, and then ,"I'm gonna get a goat real quick."
Then, the area was quiet. The only noise was a small breeze, which moved the leaves only a little. Then, Sandstone peaked his head up. He had fallen asleep from boredom as everyone had talked.
"Guys? Where'd everybody go???"

Er ma gurd, hello everybody!!! I hope you loved this chapter. I'm starting right away with chapter six. Again, if you want to use my Skywing character, talk to me about it. If you want to use Nocturnal, ask my brother OblivionXL. If you want to use Crimson, ask Glowstonegirl. Also, I mentioned Frostfire. Sorry it's taking so long to introduce her Sashathewriter! Don't worry though, she'll be in a bunch of chapters soon. Also, I'm still taking OCs, so just give me a good description of your character. The more information on your character, the better. That's all for now. BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
