Chill's face was angrier than ever. "MIMICKING ME?" she bellowed. "HOW DARE YOU!" If Chill was a cartoon character, steam would be coming out of her ears. "You little maggots. You're not having any dinner tonight, and I don't care if you starve! More fish for me." The room was silent as Chill walked out. Suddenly, Bubbles burst into tears. "I'm so sorry!" she wailed, her talons over her face. "It wasn't your fault, Bubbles!" everyone comforted her. Soon, she was wrapped in a big, scaly hug. "GET TO BED!" Chill yelled, poking her head around the door. Sobbing slightly, Bubbles sulked her way over to her stalagmite. For a few minutes, all Wave heard was poor Bubbles sobbing, so he came over to his little sister and curled up around her on the stalagmite, and they both fell asleep.

The next morning, Wave was absolutely starving, and didn't know why. Then what happened last night came flooding back into his mind. Glimmer was already up, sitting on her stalagmite and reading scrolls. The one she was reading was called The Great War. "Good morning." she said, without looking up. "I'm hungry," he replied. "Uh-huh." Glimmer said, not paying attention. "Scavengers , fish and trees," Wave said, trying to test if she was paying attention. "Yeah, ok."she said. "Glimmer!" Wave whined. "You're not listening to me! What could possibly be so exciting about scrolls? Seriously!" "Well," said Glimmer, looking up. "It is very interesting." Wave huffed and crawled back over to his stalagmite. Bubbles woke up with a yawn. "I'm hungry."she said almost immediately. Glimmer laughed to herself and grinned. "See, this is why you are brother and sister." "Well, can you blame us?" Wave argued. "We didn't get fed! And now that I think about it, why aren't you hungry? Is that a RainWing thing or something?" Glimmer looked up. "No, I just don't complain like other dragons." Bubbles had been unusually quiet in the conversation, so Wave turned to her. She looked as if she was deep in thought. "We need to find a way out the cave." she said with a tone of adventure in her voice. "Hey, whoa, that's dangerous." Everyone jumped to see Freeze awoken by their conversation. "No offence or anything, Bubbles, but that isn't going to work out." "Yes!" exclaimed Bubbles. "It will! It really will! If we go fast, Chill will never catch us. Who's with me?" Wave thought. He had always wanted something in his life. Something exciting. Something that would be fun, and not him just lying around a cave. "I am. Bubbles is right. We need more than this life trapped in a cave." He put his talon in the middle of them. Glimmer did too, then Bubbles. Eventually, after hesitating, Freeze put his talon in, too. "Let's do this." he said with a smile.
