Darkstalker logic as the story progresses:

Darkstalker: I'm insecure because I live in an unhealthy environment. This makes me angry and controlling.

Darkstalker: Now let me act like a complete egomaniac and enchant my girlfriend to only see good things. That will TOTALLY not make her suspicious and all my problems will go away

Darkstalker: That didn't work and now everyone is suspicious of me! I don't know how that couldn't have possibly worked! Oh well. My mother's gone, I'm gonna start making myself powerful for...some reason I never talk about.

Darkstalker: The Queen saw me as a threat and sent an assassin for me! Gasp! I wonder why? It's not like I flaunted my power or anything. Whiteouts gone, and my father took her! How could he? I never saw it coming!
