Delta's Fanwing tribes (useable)

Tribe Name: Rabbitwings (sometimes called Burrowwings)

Name Origins: Named after their rabbit like appearance. The name burrowwing comes from their impressive ability to construct warrens.

Current Queen: (Of the East Tribe) Queen Daylily. (Of the South Tribe) Queen Tarragon (Of the North Tribe) Queen Escarole

Appearance: Rabbitwings have strong, slender bodies and long powerful legs, their snouts are thicker and not as narrow as other dragon species, their have two long incisor like teeth to chew away roots or food, and tusks to aid in digging, cutting food or slashing at attackers. The male dragons have bigger tusks. They have very long ears and long smooth antler like horns, flow like spikes line their spine from the back of their head to the base of their short turned up cotton lookalike tail. They have two webbed wings that are far more suited for helping them burrow then they are for flying. Their back feet are a bit bigger and flatter, allowing them to thump the feet to communicate urgency. Compared to the tribes on the Main Continent however they are rather small.

Blood Colour: They have red blood.

Possible Eye Colours: The eyes of the Rabbitwings usually look pitch black upon first appearance, but when exposed to the light their real colour is easily seen. Their eyes can be ruby, blue, brown, blue grey, or marbled between any two colour. As they age their eyes get darker coloured.

Possible Main Scale Colours:

The main body of the Rabbitwings is usually any shade of brown, grey, russet, white, cream, black and even orange. A down like fur (it's actually feather down) can either be the same colour or a different colour. Markings come in the form of splatters or points.

Possible Underbelly Color:

The belly is always a lighter shade of the main body colour.

Secondary Scale Colours:

The line of scales along the neck, the back and the armour like scales on the arms are a darker colour then the main body.

Wing Membrane Colours: their wing membrane is usually light green or orange, and will become brighter if they consume a lot of food of the same colour.

Horn Type: The horns of the Rabbitwings trail along the back of the head, dipping before pointing up. They are antler like and usually have a few nubs.

Horn Colours: The horns will be the same colour as the claws, usually a light brown, grey or white.

Abilities:

-Incredibly powerful sense of hearing and smell

-Can burrow incredibly well (females are usually known however to be better at it.)

-Can breath fire.

-Powerful hind legs/fast runners/amazing jumpers.

-While not by any means powerful fliers, they can glide fairly well.

Common Abilities:

-Fire breath (all members of the tribe have this ability, it usually starts working around the age of 6 or 7.)

Uncommon Abilities:

-Story smell, this ability allows a dragon to smell a 'story' in a scent. It's been described by the ones able to do it that when they smell scents and focus pictures of what exactly happened to cause the smell will flood to their minds.

Rare Abilities:

-Future vision, (these dragons are dubbed Seers, and are usually dismissed as taboo due to a Seer named Horsetail who faked visions to lure her family to death so she could not only steal the throne but have no challengers. She successfully managed to kill most of her family, unaware her little sister Alfalfa was also a Seer and turned her trap against her. The danger posed by a Seer lead dragons to despise those with the ability, and soon after the event it was said to have disappeared, unknown by most there are a very small talon full left who hide their abilities in shame. These visions usually are directed towards potential deaths of the seer's true bonds. While many see this ability as only useful for the Seer, it's point is to protect things greater then the seer's self. Dragons with two different eye colours are Seers.

Animus Chances: None

Living Arrangements:

Warrens are large underground burrows usually made in the roots of Beast Trees. While under the roots are several burrows (divided into living burrows, bazaar burrows, learning burrows, royalty burrows, hatchery burrows, respectfully) all which lead to main hollows known as root gatherings which have shelves to lay on. All the tunnels are lit up with bioluminescent mushrooms or lamps for by fire breath. Above ground in the tree is several platforms and bridges meant for lounging and entertainment. Growing platforms are also created were gardens of vegetables are grown and maintained in areas able to get a lot of sunlight.

Families of the same blood stay together in their burrows for the sake of remembering who's part of who's family.

Location: The Forbidden Continent, Leporia.

Palace: The Rabbitwings don't necessarily have a palace, more rather a royal set of burrows and chambers for the royal family and nobles. It's usually at the back where it's most fortified, and is much more fancy then the other burrows.

Main Food Source/Diet:

The main food of the Rabbitwings are vegetables, berries, and ground dwelling plants and herbs. Teas are admired by the tribe. They don't eat meat and are rather disgusted by the idea of consuming flesh, finding it to be very barbaric.

Climate:

They usually desire clear climate sunny weather, and will hide in their deep and labyrinth warrens when it's foul weather.

The weather of Leporia is usually very far, although is known for flooding in the spring.

Relationships:

These dragons are very friendly within their tribe and form close relationships within their community, creating a very tight knit tribe. However there is still rankings to keep everyone in order, generals each monitor a certain amount of dragons who wear 'collars' to express which general they're under.

Romantic relationships usually start when the dragonet (usually called a kit) is around two or three years old, however it won't usually become committed until the dragon is seven years old. Relationships of nearly all orientations are found in Rabbitwings and are not seen as anything unusual or different.

Usually the only fighting that is to break out is between two Rabbitwings who like the same individual or of a challenge of rank.

Towards their queen and king, Rabbitwings are very, very loyal and will hastily die for their rulers.

Other Tribes: there are two other tribes of Rabbitwings, the South Tribe and the North Tribe.

History & Past: All Rabbitwings once belonged to one big tribe, but eventually not only did it get too crowded their Queen, Queen Clover was pulled into the Starless Pit and drowned. The three princesses (Tarragon, Daylily, and Escarole) much like the three SandWing sisters couldn't figure out who was to be queen, however unlike them the sisters didn't want to fight for it, rather they decided to each become Queen and create three kingdoms, and then allowed the original Rabbitwings to choose which one tribe was to their liking, known as a South, North, and East tribes respectively. The South tribe however was nearly killed off by the QuillWings, and when neither of Queen Tarragon's sisters bothered to help she declared war on them and fortified her kingdom and castle like a stronghold. Escarole hid her Kingdom while Daylily and Tarragon are at a standstill and war rages between them. A small group of dragons called The Change, a rebellion, later kidnapped one daughter from both Daylily and Tarragon, raising them with the hope that both dragons would become queen and be much more reasonable then their mothers.

Animus Chances: None

Living Arrangements:

QuillWings don't live deep underground like RabbitWings do, usually creating family dens in banks in hollows and sheltered easy to hide or defend dips. Other arrangements are outside and shared by the entire camp.

Location: The forest north of the East Rabbitwing Tribe in a massive dip in the ground.

Palace: The Quillwings actually have a palace made of stone in their camp, its small compared to Pyrrhian castles.

Main Food Source/Diet:

The main food of the Quillwings is insects (roasted insects are considered a delicacy) frogs, toads, snakes, bird eggs, mushrooms, berries, roots, birds, and larger mammals like caribou and deer.

As they are immune to poison, they can eat carrion with no ill effects, in fact it boosts their poison levels, so it's common for them to bury larger prey and come dig it up later when it's rotted.

Climate:

The QuillWings aren't as tolerant to the cold as Rabbitwings, they hibernate during winter in the hibernation location.

Relationships:

These dragons are known to behave much like a military unit, they are well organized and have the upmost respect for each other. Their friendship 'silent' as it's not shown very often (obviously they aren't very cuddly or huggers) but it's there all the same. Troops would fight and die for each other till the very end.

Romantic relationships usually start when the dragonet is around two or three years old, however it won't usually become committed until the dragon is seven years old. Relationships of nearly all orientations are found in Quillwings and are not seen as anything unusual or different.

Usually the only fighting there is is training and royal challenges.

Towards their queen and king, QuillWings are very, very loyal and will hastily die for their rulers.

Other Tribes: the QuillWings hate the Eastern and Southern RabbitWings.

History & Past:

The Quillwings and the Rabbitwings in the past used to have a mutual respect for each other, usually keeping their distance. However something just before Queen Clover's murder they started acting up and turned violent for some unknown reason. It's believed an assassin from their tribe was the one that drown the Queen in the starless pool.  They attacked Queen Tarragon seemingly unprovoked and started the war, wether this was intentional or not is uncertain. They currently hate the two remaining tribes for burning their forest home and remain a large threat and are feared.

Names: their names usually have to do with forest found animals (foxes, badgers) or forest found things/food (hedge, branch, pebble) or spiky things or things meaning sharp (urchin, razor, keen, cutter)
