Life After the War
A//N: So It's been while but yes I am alive, yes I am updating my life just became a bit busy with school and constantly being asked for help everywhere but it's summer and I got time so hopeful you'll see more of me
This is just a scenario idea I had for after the war not much to explain at first however this is angst.
Note that the Pantala arc never happens and Moon does not choose Qibli other than that there are no major changes anything else will be reveled as reading.
Jade winglet is around 21 with dod in their late 20's or early 30's.
-----
It was 5 years after graduation where the first year class Jade Academy had finally said they're goodbye from they're 3 year home, though they're legacy still carried down through the school. So it wasn't a surprise when many students went back to teach. It also wasn't a surprise when many letters were exchanged between the rainforest and said academy.
When the messenger with their bag ever so heavy finally arrived a crowd had formed pushing and shoving in attempt to see and grab their letters. Though for the lucky few close the queen however any letters addressed as such were sent straight to the receiver.
This system had luckily (or in some cases unluckily) worked in favor for a certain young Nightwing whose flood of letters seemed endless, with royal asks of visons, unwanted job offers and or marriage proposals. Seeing the ever growing pile in her office to reply to Moon sighed leaning back in her chair, pushing away from her desk, a hand raised to her face in exhaustion.
When she opened her eyes once more a young Rainwing member of the palace staff was stood at the door.
"Um Miss um Moonwatcher?" The young boy asked nervously.
Trying her best to send a warm smile his way, Moon sat up straight with a nod signaling for him to continue.
"Her Majesty has requested you audience in the main room of the council wing of the royal tree house, preferably now..." He rambled trailing off at the end.
"I see, I'll be on my way right now then, don't worry about sending back a message I'll let them know the message was received" She replied getting up stretching her wings which had increased quite a bit in the given years.
Shoving her hair back, the young raven had jumped of the platform steadily flying through the vast tropical forest smiling at the life around her before finally landing at the Council platform with a light thud.
Moon looked around staring at the room around her, in one corner Grandeur stood regally at her place at the table a exasperated yet elegant expression pulled across her aged face. Across the room at the head of the table Glory and her now Fiancée Deathbringer were now bickering about something or another.
In the spot beside Moons she found Kinkajou happily reading letters from friends at the academy as well as all her pen pals, how she kept up will ALL of them was beyond Moon's understanding so in the end she simply decided to ignore her friends unanswerable traits. Moon sighed and banged her hand on the table letting those who hadn't noticed aware of her presence.
"It seems I'm the last to arrive so shall we begin?" Moon announced raising an eyebrow.
"Oh um, yes of course" Glory rambled clearing her throat. " As I was going to say before being interrupted", she started before glaring at Deathbringer who shot back a 'not this again' look. "The academy and continent were both at a state of peace so I was hoping to finally go through with the wedding" she said choosing her words carefully.
The reactions in the room were vast, from Grandeur's relief to Moons surprise and Kinkajous excitement. Speaking of Kinkajou she was now rambling on and on about wedding dress, flowers and other typical wedding things.
"As exited as I am about this, I'm compelled to ask, do you have a date, in my opinion seeing event play out in recent years the sooner is better in this day and age" She spoke calmly and directly to her Granddaughter and soon to be Grandson-in-law.
"We were hoping for August if I'm correct" he said giving Glory a look, who gave an annoyed nod in response"
"Would six month really be enough? I mean a normal wedding is one thing , but a royal one..." Moon trailed of thinking about all the cramped work over the next six months.
"Let's hope it is, we already have work cut out with the influx of admission requests for the new school year" Glory said solemnly.
"I want a raise" Moon huffed remembering the pile of work from the morning.
After about 30 minutes of discussion the meeting winded down as the each left one by one. When it came time for Moon to leave she was the last one, she got up and stretched her wings and was about to take off when Glory made a comment on the size.
"Secretkeepers are quite smaller are they not" She said off handedly but Deathbringer butt in before Moon could reply.
"Yours are similar to another Nightwing I know-" Glory quickly shut him by placing a hand on his mouth.
"I thought we agreed not to talk about this right now!" She said through her teeth.
"Talk about what?" Moon asked with obvious confusion. "What aren't you telling me?"
"We don't really need to talk about this-" Glory was only interrupted by a more serious Moonwatcher"
"TELL ME!" She said slightly yelling.
"Ok, ok calm down" Deathbringer said defensively trying to get her to sit back down, "but umm before we do, mind telling us if you know your father?"

Moon pov:
So many thoughts rushed through my head as I flew as possible to my mothers house. As soon as I saw the lime green door I closed my wings landing on the staircase Infront of the door.
"Mother!" I yelled opening the door with my mother in the kitchen making tea.
"Ah Moon, lovely to see you visit" she said with a smiled that faded as soon as she saw my face. "Is something the matter?"
"Tell me that Morrowseer isn't my father" I said with a shaky voice.
Her face went dull, "Moon I-" she said in a attempt to change the topic.
"Answer the question" I said, I was not going to let it slip this time. "Just tell me the truth!"
I stared at her, she didn't say a word, her eyes not able to meet mine.
"Oh my stars, I cannot believe this, how much about me are you hiding?"
"I wanted to protect you" Mother replied in protest, "I knew he was a bad man I couldn't bear the thought of you growing up knowing you had a father like that".
"And you never thought that protecting me included letting me know where I cam from!? I have a right to know how my father was! My voice began to raise in anger.
"I was worried you would get hurt!" She cried, "Moon please", she reached out a hand but I could only flinch away.
"Am I supposed to trust you after hearing this? How do I know your not hiding more secrets about our family, more secrets about me?" I said while tears formed in my eyes, I looked away, she had hid so much about me, how well did I even know myself I went through so much just because she didn't bother to fill in the blanks"
"Tell me" I said after I while of silence, "how much about this is really about protecting me, because all I can see are actions made out of your own fears" I left before she could respond it wasn't worth it.
As I flew back to my own room at the royal platform I closed my eyes trying to calm down, first all this work, them the soon to come wedding drama and now this. As I walked through the doors of my room, I made a decision, throwing clothes and other essentials into a bag.
Leaving a simple note in my office I took flight not smiling until I reached the end of the rainforest. I needed a vacation and I new exactly where to go.
