Name: Queen Rana

I like this name. It's pretty, and it suits a queen well. I think this is the first queen OC I've gotten, but I could be wrong. Either way, this is an original name, and it fits a RainWing well!

Residence: the Rainforest Kingdom

Appearance: very few of her scales change color, much of her scales are dark gray and black. The scales that change color are the scales under her wings, her underbelly, and a few scattered scales around her body. She has a long scar across her tail from a NightWing and her eyes are an eerie amber.

That's interesting. I think a RainWing hybrid probably wouldn't be able to change scales at all (think, Chameleon) but I guess this works? Idk. I like the eyes.

Queen Rana is hot-headed and stubborn in the sense that she challenged her mother the second she thought she could hold her own. She has one sibling, a nearly pure black brother named Shadow with color changing scales all around his eyes and a white belly. They argue often and are almost always fighting over something.  Rana is very short tempered as well. She is unable to breathe fire or shoot venom, and this weakness made her practice her other skills constantly until both her talons and her mind were very sharp. She picks things up easily and is pretty smart.

Ah, I see a bit of Glory's personality in there. Deathbringer too. I like that she resembles her parents, but I think she could be a bit more original. I like the stubborn/determined aspects, but she could use a few more flaws, and unique traits.

Backstory:

(This takes place after Moonwatcher's prophecy is fulfilled)

As a dragonet, Rana was not the brightest. She constantly fought with other dragonets and once threw a dragonet off the balcony. Naturally, this behavior was not tolerated in any way. She was severely punished and she immediately tried to redeem herself. She craved attention and got it from her father. Glory, being too busy to bother with dragonets, or perhaps not showing that she cared as much as she wanted to. Rana never understood this, and instead grew close to her ex-assassin father. Deathbringer cared about his children a lot. (Naturally, glory did too, but she didn't show it. Why? Because she's glory) And so our lovely protagonist grows up under the influence of her father. Being unable to breathe any dangerous fumes, she trains, and hard. She immediately challenges her mother, and, to the surprise of every dragon in the kingdom, wins by a whisker. She barely out-camouflaged her mother, and took control of the kingdom. She wasn't a horrible leader (think Queen Coral, sometimes nice, sometimes murderous). She has no mate or dragonets, and led her army to many victorious battles, because RainWings are quite feared after everyone discovered RainWings have venom. She has a strong grudge against NightWings; other than her father; once, she was almost killed by a NightWing, that explains her scar on her tail.

I actually really like this? I'm surprised. Usually, I don't like when OCs interact with canon characters, but you make it work. You stuck to Glory and Deathbringers' personalities, and this plot is simple and easy to follow. This.. is good.

Overall
9/10. I like the backstory and name a lot, I just feel you could add more to the personality. She seems very realistic, I guess? She seems like a character I'd actually see in the books. I don't know exactly why, but I really, really like her.
