Residence: In a small SeaWing village near the ruins of the summer palace normally, until she transfered to Jade mountain academy

Another JMA OC. That's fine, I guess.

Appearance: fit, well-built, skinny-ish, teal/emerald-green scales with glow-in-the-dark scale patterns that glow a sky blue. Emerald necklace with a silver chain, it is animus-touched but she doesn't know what it does. She has odd dark-blue swirls running up and down her body. Emerald-green eyes.

Okay. I'm not sure if I like the emerald green and sky blue together, I usually like to keep my OCs all green or all blue, not a mix of both. It looks better imo, but whatever. I'm confused by the animus necklace, but I'll get into that later. The dark blue swirls are very strange, SeaWings don't usually have markings like that. It also clashes with the emerald green. Overall, this appearance is.. alright. I'd like an explanation for the swirls, and the colors don't seem to go together very well.

Personality: Book-worm/know-it-all, can be bossy at times, kind, smart, humorous, shy to dragons when she first meets them but outgoing and king of weird when she gets to know them, slightly introverted and unsure of herself. She always thinks before she acts, and is very clever.

Okay. This personality is cute, but not the most original. I see characters with similar personalities all the time, which is fine, but she's not very.. great. I like that she's a know-it-all, that's one trait that you don't see very often. It's also good that her backstory has affected her personality. Otherwise, she's very.. ordinary.

Family: A mother named Shellfish, a father named tuna, a younger sister named seaweed

Seaweed is a cute name! I also like Shellfish.

Porpoise's backstory: Porpoise was born into a generally well-respected family, and grew up a pretty normal life until her fourth birthday(I don't really get the maturity rate in wings of fire, so I will assume that is around ten to twelve years old) when she enrolled in jade mountain academy. The night before she left the kingdom of sea to go to school, she found her parent crying in their room. This was odd, because her parents never cried. They gave her the emerald necklace and said it was animus touched but told her no more than that. The next morning her parents had vanished, their belongings had gone, and their room no longer existed. Confused, Porpoise had asked her younger sister, seaweed about it, but seaweed had said they were orphans and had never had parents. After asking around, she found out that no one remembered her parents and believed solemnly that her and seaweed were simply orphaned street urchins, welcomed into the kingdom of sea simply because they are seawings. They are not outsiders, but are thought lowly of. She knew she had to get to school, and wearing her necklace and hoping it was all a dream, her and seaweed went to JMA. Today, a half a year later, they are still in JMA, and porpoise is still trying to discover what happened to her parents, and what secrets the emerald amulet holds.

This is cool, but really confusing. I like that her parents just kind of disappeared, that's not something you see very often. But like.. why? I'd like an explanation for the amulet, first of all. Who enchanted it, what does it do, and how did her parents come into possession of it? And I'm confused how her backstory just.. changed. Her parents never existed and she was never in a well-respected family after all? I understand if Porpoise doesn't yet know these things, but you definitely should have an explanation. And I'd like to know because this doesn't make any sense otherwise.

Overall
I give Porpoise a 5/10. Her personality is okay, but nothing special. The swirls don't really make sense in her appearance, and the color combinations are weird. Her backstory is confusing as heck. I like it, but everything seems so mysterious. It would be great if there was an explanation for the things that were happening.
