Insect
For WoFFnaFFangirl28
Name: Insect
Alright. I like this name, and I haven't seen it much
Gender: Male
Ok
Age: I suck at dragon ages but he's around 23 in human years
Okay, an adult. That's good, too many people make their OCs dragonets.
Tribe: Mudwing
A MudWing.... they deserve so much more love
Rank: Flower Grower/Seller (Currently, after war) Training to be Solider (During War, then quit)
That's pretty original! I've never seen a florist OC before.
Residence: The Mud Kingdom (Formerly, during the war) Possibility (He moved there after, explained in Backstory)
Okay, sounds good.
Appearance: He has dark brown wings and dark brown (a few shades lighter then his wings) scales. He ha slight brown underscales that match his small eyes. His horns and spike-things are dusty brown. He's very tall for his age, and has strong legs and arms. He has big wings, not has big as Skywings but a bit bigger then most Mudwings. His tail and neck are long. He wears a neckless of multi-coloured flowers around his neck made by his little sister that he wears all the time.
Okay. This is a pretty normal appearance, nothing really special but it's not bad. I like the necklace, it's very cute. Can't really think of much else to say here... it's good, but not great. Pretty mediocre.
Personality: Insect is optimistic, even to the point where it's annoying. When he was training to be a solider, anytime someone would complain, he would always talk about how they were going to serve the queen and save the tribe. No one really enjoyed his company when training. However, with his siblings he is almost never sad. Being the Bigwing, he is overprotective of his siblings, and only gets sad or angry when one of them gets hurt, as he has a strong bond with all of them. Insect prefers peace over fighting, but he can convince himself what ever he's doing is good if he tries hard of enough, even fighting a war.
Hmm.. I like what you have here, but he could use more negative traits? Besides being annoying sometimes, all of his traits are positive. I really like what you have here, especially that he's optimistic. It fits a MudWing especially well. It just needs added to.
Family:
(This goes in order of age, oldest beside Incest at top, youngest at bottem)
Amber (Sister, Healer)
Bug (Brother, Retried Solider-in-Training)
Soil (Sister, Healer-in-Training)
Dirt (Brother, Herb Seller)
Auburn (Sister, Too young to have job but likes to make neckless)(Also gave Insect his flower neckless)
All nice names :3
Backstory: Incest had a fairly normal childhood. He did not know his parents like most Mudwings, and was his Bigwing in his group of sibs. He protected them best he could when growing up, helping them if they got hurt and making sure they had food and warmth. When he was old enough to get a job, he saw a sign that said that the Mud Kingdom was in need of soliders. He hated fighting, but he needed a job, badly. He discussed it with his Sibs and they agreed for him to join the army, as they would get good money and would be serving the tribe. However, his younger brother, Bug, wanted to grow with him so he wouldn't be lonely. Nothing wound change Bugs mind, so, reluctantly, Incest and Bug signed up. They were taken to a part of the Kingdom that Insect and Bug hadn't been before. As soon as they got there, they begin training. They stayed there instead of going home, and were aloud to go see their sibs 1 too 4 times a month. However, just after one year of training, the war ended (Around the time of Book 5). Insect and Bug, along with all the other solider-to-be, were given the chose to collect their months pay and leave, or stay and keep training. Both Insect and Bug decided to quit, so they took their money and went home. When they got back to their sibs, Amber (The Second Oldest) said she heard of a place in the sand kingdom where retired and wounded dragons could go, even dragons who just wanted to get away from their tribes or just wanted peace. After scouting around a bit, Insect found out this place was called Possibility and he found directions to get there from a traveling-by trader. So the sibs packed up their stuff and the remaining money and left for Possibility.
Once there, they found a vacant house and used the remainder of Bugs money to buy it. They moved in, and that's when Amber found her passion for healing. She took up a small class and learned how to heal basic inguries, then started a small med clinic in the bottom section of the house. Since most of the herbs she needed grew in the Rainforest or Sky Kingdom, Insect and Bug left and got some. While in the Rainforest kingdom, Insect met a Rainwing named Paradise and got a small crush on her, however had to leave her behind when he and Bug went back to Possibility. Amber had been able to get a few seeds out of one of the herbs and planted them. Dirt, the second youngest sibling, then took over the garden and became a small Herb Seller, selling extra herbs on a both he rented. Amber started to get more healing lesson, then started to teach the third youngest, Soil, about helming. Insect then realized, after helping Dirt out with the gardening, that he loved to garden. He didn't want to sell herbs, so he got some flower seeds and planted them. Soon, he had so many flowers he couldn't keep track of them all, so he started to sell them at Dirts booth. He eventually got his own booth with the money he made, then, his youngest sister Auburn made a neckless out of his flowers. She made one for all of her siblings, then convinced Insect to sell them in his booth. At the moment, Insect and his sibs still live in Possibility selling flowers and herbs.
You accidentally called him Incest. I don't usually point out spelling errors but that was really funny to me xD
I think this is really cute. It's a pretty simple backstory, just selling flowers. It's not the most interesting, and I'm not sure if it would make a great fanfiction, but it's alright.
One thing I'm not sure about is that they joined the army. In the books, MudWing siblings fight together in groups. It doesn't make sense that Insect and Bug would both join but the others would stay behind; that's not how the MudWing military works. Otherwise, this is a pretty good backstory.
Overall
I give Insect a 7/10. His appearance is good, but the personality could use some work. The backstory is cute and simple, but also kind of boring, and some parts didn't make much sense.
