The majority of the MudWing population is aromantic.

There are many non-monogamous species which don't take mates for life. MudWings are one of them. They rarely marry or engage in relationships, preferring to stay in their tightly-knit sibling groups.

However, most of them are allosexual (in other words, not asexual) - hence the monthly breeding night, which keeps the tribe alive. There are aromantic heterosexual MudWings, aromantic homosexuals, aromantic bisexuals, aromantic asexuals, and so on.
