Honestly, I really like Winter. I used to hate him for his arrogant, stuck-up opinions, but that was because he was a product of his environment. His obsession with scavengers is a lovely quirk, it gives him much more character :). His entire arc with Hailstorm is also well done. I appreciate that he reconciled with his family in the last book, during the Battle of Jade Mountain.

To be completely frank, my opinions on Moonwatcher, Glory and Winter are the ones that have changed the most drastically, essentially whipping a full 180. I hold this fact in high regard, as I believe it represents my growth as a person :j. 

Winter's neat, and cool (pun so intended). He's overall a good character. Solid! When he builds Sanctuary, he becomes humbled and awesome. It's a shame his whole character development/growth/arc was done so so dirty in Darkness of Dragons. But I digress; at least his future's looking bright now!
