Qibli is one of my favourite characters. It's strange because I relate to him a lot and kin him, but at the same time I really really aspire to be him – he's everything I am: funny, goofy, extroverted with his friends, affectionate, a simp for women, striving to earn the approval and affection of his peers and the dragons around him; and he's everything I want to be: hilarious, optimistic, outgoing, kind-hearted, empathetic, charismatic, charming, intelligent, altruistic, a big dreamer, living his life the best he can without regrets.

I think a mix of him, Turtle and Sunny would be perfectly me in dragon form, you know? I mean, I know that's high praise, but I don't really care about appearing vain now anymore – I've spent far too long hating myself for fear of coming across narcissistic. But praising yourself and celebrating your good qualities is not being obsessed with who you are in a selfish way, and I think reading from Qibli's point of view has helped me understand that.

I also see a lot of him in my best friends, specifically my guy best friend.

Even though Qibli and I both like girls, Qibli x Umber is my ultimate Wings of Fire OTP! Umbli for the win! :j

"Go Big Or Go Home" by American Authors is definitely Qibli's theme song. It suits him so much! I love both the song and the character <3 (I found this song through a tribute to Qibli on YouTube actually, so I kind of associate them together because of that!)
