As they ate Arrow couldn't help but bad because the day was almost over. But Arrow was also angry that only after one day Flare was already out of the hospital leaving no time for Arrow to find the skyfire for Flare. She really wished Moon's friend Turtle was here so she could ask him about it but she knew that wasn't possible. Moon was the closest one so she decided that she'd talk to her about it after dinner. She scanned the table looking for black that wasn't her father's she passed Clay, Peril, Char, Sunny, Starflight, Tsunami, Riptide, Ukle, Winter, and Flare. But no Moonwatcher. She decided it was best to bring it up but everyone but Flare was endorsed in their own conversations. So she asked her "Hey Flare do you know where your mom is I wanted to talk to her."

"No idea" Flare said and Arrow knew it was the truth because she did a quick mindreading.

UUUUHG if only there was some other way to find Moon, oh yeah mindreading! Arrow turned it on and searched for the familiar warm buzz that Moon's mind gave off. She couldn't hear anything over all the commotion at dinner. She would just have to wait till later to find Moon unless... No it wouldn't work asking Winter about his he was just too unpredictable, even for a mind reader because he didn't really seem sure about his own thoughts.

    She was startled out of her thoughts because Arrow heard something loud and clear above all the other thoughts. It was like someone talking but not exactly the voice said: "Hi Arrow just testing think back if you got this. "

"Okay" Arrow thought "I can hear you fine, who is this?"

"It's Flare" the voice replied "we are communicating by mindreading, I think it's pretty cool."   

"Yeah it is" Arrow thought back. "Now we don't have to talk across the table with all this noise."

"Yes" Flare thought back "This is better than talking across the table and It's more private but what I really want to know is; Why do you think my dad is too insecure for you to ask him a question?"  

"I just think he's.... A little unpredictable, you know?' Arrow thought back. " I mean, I'm not saying I don't trust you,"Arrow added quickly, "I just..... He's a icewing, and I'm part nightwing...... you know the rest."

"He fixed everything between the Icewings and nightwings." Flare thought offensively.  

"Not everything" Arrow though, "I live with the nightwings and they are happy about the climate because no icewings come near them here."

"Well even, so whatever you have to ask him I'm sure he's the right one to ask." Flare thought gently

"Thanks Flare" Arrow thought

"Your welcome Arrow" Flare replied through her thoughts.
