Earth Elves (Mudwings)

Description: Naturally occurring, armour-like skin that is ranges from a light tan to a dark brown. Amber-gold dragon-like wings, can sometimes have a more yellowish look to it.

Abilities: Can bend the earth around them, creating mini earthquakes at times. Can blend into the muddy swamps that they call home. They are one of the strongest Elven species in Pyrrhia.

Queen: Queen Moorhen.

Alliances: Currently allied with Burn and the Sky Elves in the great war.

Sand Elves (Sandwings)

Description: Pale skinned, with light yellow or sandy blond hair, always carry around a special weapon that injects poison into their enemies, have coal black eyes, golden feathers that matches the elf's hair color.

Abilities: Can survive a long time without water, can create sandstorm and dust devils at will (basically control over wind).

Queen: Since the death of Quern Oasis, the clan is split between three rivals for the throne: sisters Burn, Blister, and Blaze.

Alliances: Burn fights alongside the Sky Elves and Earth Elves; Blister is allied with the Sea Elves; and Blaze has the suppose of most of the Sand Elves as well as an alliance with the Ice Elves.

Sky Elves (Skywings)

Description: Normally have either copper or firetruck red hair, can sometimes have flecks of gold in them, said to have the biggest wings out of any of the clans. Like the others, their wings feathers match their hair color.

Abilities: Powerful fighters and fliers, can bend flames to their will.

Queen: Queen Scarlet

Alliances: Currently allied with Burn and the Earth Elves in the great war.

Sea Elves (Seawings)

Description: Blue, green, or aquamarine wings, just like Earth Elves, they have dragon-like wings as well. Tanned skin with hair colors that range from a seafoam green to a deep blue. They also have gills on the sides of their neck, allowing them to do something that no other elf species can do, breathe underwater. They also have special markings on their legs, arms, and wings that glow in the dark.

Abilities: Can breathe underwater, see in the dark, control huge masses of water, and are excellent swimmers.

Queen: Queen Coral

Alliances: Currently allied with Blister in the great war.

Rain Elves (Rainwings)

Description: Their dragonfly-like wings constantly shift colors, although they are usually bright like birds of paradise. Their hair and skin tone can vary from elf to elf. One elf in a family might have dark skin and purplish hair, while their sister could have pale skin and light blue hair.

Abilities: Can turn translucent in order to camouflage with their surroundings, no known natural weapons.

Queen: Queen Dazzling

Alliances: Not involved in the war.

Ice Elves (Icewings)

Description: Silvery-white feathered wings that have extra insulation to protect from the harsh cold they call home. Either have snowy white or light blue hair.

Abilities: Can withstand subzero temperatures and bright light, can shoot freezing beams of ice.

Queen: Queen Glacier

Alliances: Currently allied with Blaze in the great war.

Shadow Elves (Nightwings)

Description: Purplish-black feathered wings, with traces of small, silver feather dotting around the underside, making it look like a night sky. Either dark purple or midnight black hair. Usually has a very pale skin tone.

Abilities: Can foretell the future and read minds, are also know to be able to disappear into the darkness of the night.

Queen: A closely guarded secret.

Alliances: Too mysterious and powerful to be part of the war.

The Elven Prophecy of Pyrria

When the war has lasted 20 years...
the warriors will come.

When the land is soaked in blood and tears...
the warriors will come.

Find a child of the sea, with wings deepest blue.

The child of the night shall come to you.

The oldest child in mountain high,
shall give to you the child of the sky.

For the child of earth, search through the mud.
for a child with a mark as red as blood.

And hidden alone from the rival Queens,
the child of sand awaits unseen.

Of threes Queens who Blister and Blaze and Burn,
two shall die and one shall learn.

If she bows to a fate much stronger and higher,
she'll have the power of wings of fire.

Five children, born on the brightest night,
five children born to end the fight.
